The car park is the first thing customers, staff and visitors see of a building – and often the thing nobody really looks after. Cigarette ends at the exits, cups next to the trolley shelters, leaves in the gutters and grit from last winter build up faster than you think. We take over regular car park care: a sweeper for the surface, manual work for corners, kerbs and planted strips.
01. What car park care includes
The scope of work defines what is done on every visit:
Machine-swept surface
Driving lanes and bays are cleaned with a sweeper – dust, sand, grit and small litter in one go.
Edges by hand
No machine reaches kerbs, corners, bollards, ticket machines or bike racks. That is where we sweep and pick up by hand.
Litter and bins
Emptying litter bins, tidying bin areas, reporting fly-tipping and removing it if required.
Trolley shelters
Shelters swept out, trolley return points cleared of cups, receipts and cardboard.
Planted strips and tree pits
Litter taken out of hedges and beds, leaves collected, weeds removed between paving stones.
Drains and channels
Gully grates and drainage channels cleared so heavy rain does not leave lakes on the bays.
02. Car parks we look after
Every type of car park has its own peak times and problem spots:
Supermarkets and discounters
High footfall, many trolleys, packaging waste. A daily round before opening often makes sense here.
Retail parks and shopping centres
Large areas with several tenants. We clean to one shared plan so nobody only sees their own patch.
Company car parks
Staff and visitor parking, often with a smoking area. Usually one cleaning a week is enough.
Housing estates
Parking between the blocks, bin stores and access roads. We coordinate dates with the property manager.

03. Garages and multi-storey car parks are included
Many properties have an underground garage or parking deck as well. We clean both in the same contract:
Underground garage
Lanes and ramps with a scrubber-dryer instead of a broom – so tyre dust and grime are removed, not just spread around.
Parking decks
Open decks collect leaves and rain dirt, closed levels oil stains and dust. Each needs its own approach.
Stairwells and lifts
The routes from the garage to the shop or flat are cleaned in the same visit.
04. How often we clean
The frequency depends on usage and season:
Daily
For retail customer car parks. A short round before opening is often enough for a clean start to the day.
Weekly
For company and visitor car parks with steady use.
Monthly
For housing estates and quieter areas, plus extra visits when needed.
Spring and autumn cleaning
In spring the grit has to go, in autumn the leaves. We plan both as separate major jobs.
