02. What Industrial Cleaning at Bling Bling covers

The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.

Hall walls, sandwich panels and the skirting zone

Plumes of dust and abrasion at panel joints, forklift contact marks, skirtings and wall junctions. Markings and safety signs stay legible and are not worked over.

Floor markings, traffic routes and roller doors

Marking strips are left without a coating, and with them door tracks, rollers, ramp edges, dock seals and bollards. A door track clogged solid is a maintenance matter, which we report.

Confined spaces and vessels only with a permit

A silo, pit, duct or shaft is entered only after atmospheric testing, with a standby attendant and a written entry permit. Without that permit nobody on our side goes in.

Welfare rooms, workshop and changing rooms

Oil and metal dust in the changing room, hand basins with paste residue, the tops of lockers, workbenches, canteen floor with a grease film. These rooms are the first thing noticed at an inspection, which is why they are in the schedule.

Shop floor and traffic routes

A scrubber-drier with brush or pad according to the surface, films of oil and emulsion dissolved with a contact time and then vacuumed up. The slip resistance class and the displacement volume of the surface determine the tool and the dosing.

Machines, guards, chips and cutting fluid

Work begins only after isolation and release by the maintenance department, guard by guard. Chips, emulsion residue and abrasion are collected separately, not pushed into the floor gully.

In Salzburg the plants within the city area are often close to housing, so noise limits and restrictions on night work determine the sequence more than the plant engineering does. The high rainfall brings wet and grit in continuously through doors and ramps; hall floors become slippery faster as a result and need degreasing more often than in drier locations. For work at height on rooflights we reckon with glazing that is mossed over on the outside and therefore lets less light through than the condition of the inner face would suggest.

03. Industrial Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition

In production, cleaning is an intervention in an installation and not a round with a mop: isolation, maintenance windows, areas with a dust atmosphere, electrical equipment that never sees water, and residues that need a defined disposal route. Tenders rarely fail on the cleaning work itself, but because access, safeguarding and disposal were not settled beforehand — and then the gang stands in the shutdown window and waits. We agree the sequence beforehand with the maintenance department and the safety officer, choose the vacuum and the method according to the type of dust and the component, and document every section. The cost framework we give after the inspection with the person responsible in the plant. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Industrial Cleaning from Bling Bling

What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.

1In business since 2014

A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.

2Registered core team

Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.

3The same people every time

The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.

4€3m public liability

Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.

5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP

Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.

6Multilingual

German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.

7No price without a site visit

A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.

8Dated proof

Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.

9A briefed team that comes back

Shutdowns and night shifts are staffed from our permanently employed core team, all of them properly registered. The briefing given in the plant then applies to the same people and not to a new group.

10Repair work through the group

Cleaning exposes damage: open joints in the industrial floor, spalled coating, a leaking channel. For the repair our partner firm Skyline Bau GmbH is available; the cleaning order runs separately from it.

08. Industrial Cleaning for 5 typical situations

The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.

After an oil spill or hydraulic failure

Absorb, pick up, work the surface over with an emulsifier, dispose of the bound material separately. The disposal route is settled beforehand and documented.

Before a new floor coating or marking

The substrate has to be free of oil, emulsion and release agent, otherwise the coating will not adhere. The preparatory cleaning decides the result of the coating.

Annual shutdown or overhaul

The only window in which machines are open, pits are empty and high-level surfaces are reachable. It is planned by the hour, because it cannot be extended.

After conversion work or the installation of machinery

Drilling dust, weld spatter, grinding dust, film and strapping remains. The earlier it is carried out, the less of it travels into guideways and controls.

Dust on high-level surfaces becomes an inspection issue

Deposits on the crane runway, cable runs and ducts are a fire load and get written down at inspections. Their removal runs on a cycle rather than as a one-off exercise.

★ Worth knowing

What is often misjudged about Industrial Cleaning

Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.

Cutting fluid is an emulsion and it ages

What comes out of machining is water with oil, emulsifiers and additives; if it is left lying in channels, pits and on the floor it turns microbially, smells, and forms a layer that binds new dirt and makes the surface slippery. Such residues have to be taken through the light liquid separator and not into the nearest floor gully — and a separator only works for as long as it is emptied and the emptying recorded, otherwise it discharges what it holds. That is why the decisive thing in cleaning is that the liquid is picked up and kept separate, and not that the floor shines again afterwards.

Dust on a luminaire or a dome light costs measurable light

Lighting for workplaces is designed to EN 12464-1 with a maintained value: the required level has to be held over the whole period of use, and the maintenance factor built into the calculation assumes a cleaning cycle for luminaires and light-transmitting surfaces. Dust on the cover, the reflector and the rooflight lowers the illuminance arriving below appreciably, and because it builds up slowly nobody notices it — the eye adjusts, the error rate in visual inspection does not. Work is done with the power off and the fitting cold, dry or barely damp, with no moisture in the holder or the seal, because otherwise the degree of protection of the housing is lost. Defective seals and loose suspensions we report rather than tightening them ourselves.

Sprinkler heads and fire detectors have clearance rules

A sprinkler head needs a clear spray area and must not be painted over, taped over, covered or bent; mechanical contact can damage it or set it off, and a system triggered in high-bay racking means water damage in the goods. Smoke detectors, in turn, respond to dust thrown into the air — blowing off with compressed air in the racking area is therefore the quickest route to a false alarm with a fire brigade turnout. We vacuum dust off rather than displacing it, agree work near detectors with the fire alarm control centre beforehand, and have the group concerned isolated and put back into service on completion. Isolation and reinstatement are entered in the record with the time.

●. Frequently asked questions about Industrial Cleaning in Salzburg

What does Industrial Cleaning cost?

There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.

Is the site visit really free?

Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.

Does the same person come every time?

Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.

Is your staff properly registered?

All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.

What insurance is in place?

Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.

What happens if something is not right?

It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.

Can you work outside business hours?

Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.

Do I have to provide materials or a room?

Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.

What notice period applies?

The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.

Do you also work in English?

Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.

Which documents do I get?

A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.

How quickly can you start?

Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
