02. What Carpet Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Vienna at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Drying and release back into use
Blowers and air movement are provided, the residual moisture is measured, and the area is only released once it will take use again. We commit to the release time in advance.
Carpet tiles and glued-down stock
Loose-laid tiles can be treated and exchanged individually; glued broadloom cannot. We check how the covering was laid, because the method and the handling of water depend on it.
Barrier matting zones and entrance mats
Mats, rubber grids and barrier matting zones are cleaned separately and kept on a cycle. They hold most of the dirt, as long as they are not saturated.
Natural fibres and special constructions
Sisal, coir and seagrass will not take wet treatment — there we work dry only and say in advance what that means for the result.
Hand-knotted pieces, treated with restraint
On knotted carpets with natural dyes we carry out no wet cleaning on site, but limit ourselves to dry methods and say so openly rather than taking a risk.
Odour treatment where organic matter has gone in
With organic stains we work with enzyme treatment and dwell time, because fragrances only mask. Where the matter has gone through into the backing, we say where the limit lies.
In Vienna's office buildings carpet tile predominates across whole floors — which allows individual fields to be exchanged and interim cleaning in the traffic zones instead of complete passes. In offices in older buildings, by contrast, one meets parquet with runners and knotted pieces, where the work is done dry. Because there is hardly any scope for work in residential buildings in the evening, we put extraction and drying into weekends.
03. Carpet Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
Carpet cleaning is the field in which the wrong method is not merely ineffective but does damage: viscose breaks when wet, wool felts in an alkaline environment, a latex backing comes apart with too much water, and a carpet cleaned too wet shows brown rims after three days that were not there before. On top of that, the area usually has to be back in use before it would be dry of its own accord. We identify the fibre and the backing before we start, test colour fastness in a concealed place, choose the method according to the material and the break in use, and measure the residual moisture instead of estimating it. And we say beforehand which stains will remain. In Vienna, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Carpet Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9A commitment on release back into use
We give the time from which the area can be walked on again, and we provide the blowers to make it so.
10We say beforehand what cannot be done
With viscose, natural fibre and knotted stock we name the limit of the method instead of trying it.
07. Carpet Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Carpet Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
The heating season with road salt coming in
From December to March, chlorides and grit travel into entrances and lift lobbies. There an interim clean on a winter cycle makes more sense than a cleaning in spring.
Before handing premises over to a new tenant
On commercial premises the floor covering is assessed. A documented cleaning with a record of the residual moisture carries more weight at handover than an assertion.
Odours in existing areas
When a carpet smells after some years, the cause usually sits in the backing or in the substrate. Then it is examined first and decided afterwards whether it is a case for cleaning or for replacement.
The annual deep clean on an office floor
After a year of use the dirt sits in the traffic zones. The work is done over a weekend, so that people can work on the Monday.
After water damage
After a burst pipe or rain getting in, time is what counts: a soaked carpet with a backing has to be de-watered, dried and assessed quickly.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Carpet Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Interim cleaning preserves the fibre; deep cleaning only rescues it
Wear on a carpet is mostly mechanical: sand trodden in cuts the fibre with every step, the pile loses its structure and takes dirt on faster afterwards. That is why regular, thorough vacuuming is the single most effective measure, and encapsulation interim cleaning the second — it binds the remaining dirt into crystals that come away with the next vacuuming. An interval based on footfall and traffic zone keeps the area longer than one large cleaning a year.
If stains come back after a few days, it was too wet
The phenomenon is called wicking: dissolved dirt and constituents of the backing travel upwards by capillary action as the carpet dries slowly and settle at the tip of the pile — the stain becomes visible after the area has long been released. The cause is almost always too much moisture and too long a drying time, not too weak an agent. That is why we work with controlled moisture input, strong suction and air movement, and take the follow-up work on such spots into the order.
Viscose and wool are the two common total losses
Viscose, often sold as art silk or bamboo silk, loses a great deal of its tensile strength when wet, the fibres break, and the surface goes dull and patchy — there only a dry method is permissible. Wool is sensitive to alkali: above about pH 8 felting and colour change begin, which is why alkaline commercial cleaners are not used on it. The manufacturer's care code states the limit, W for water-based, S for solvent-based, X vacuum only — we look it up before we set up a machine.
Reviews from clients in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — grown since 2014, not bought. The figure is taken from the Google profile daily.

●. Frequently asked questions about Carpet Cleaning in Vienna
What does Carpet Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
