02. What Final Cleaning at Bling Bling covers

The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.

Plant rooms and cable routes

Cable trays, the area around switchgear, screed dust in shafts and at skirting level. The work is done dry, and only where it has been released and isolated.

Stairwell, escape routes, underground car park

Concrete slurry on steps, handrails, escape route signage, tyre marks and cement residue on the car park surface and the ramps.

Stainless steel and lift cars

Car walls, mirrors, the control panel, door reveals and railing profiles with film residue, adhesive marks and fingerprints — worked along the direction of the grain, not in circles.

External blinds and perimeter joints

Slats, guide rails, window boards, silicone and drylining junctions. Fresh joints are not put under load until they have cured.

Fine cleaning after completion of the works

Cement haze, silicone and adhesive residue, paint splashes, labels and sanding dust. This assumes that offcuts and packaging have already left the site.

Glass and frames with construction soiling

Film adhesive, mortar splashes, silicone residue. Mechanical work only after a test and only on uncoated glass, otherwise with contact time and a pad.

Hotel and restaurant conversions have one date that cannot be moved: the start of the season. The final clean is therefore planned backwards from that date, with reserve for the follow-up pass. In the old town, access is only possible at certain times of day and materials cover the last few metres along the lane. On conglomerate and marble floors, and on listed windows, the work is done without acid and without a blade.

03. Final Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition

Final cleaning means this: the building work is finished, the handover inspection is the day after tomorrow, and the dust from the last sanding is still everywhere. The effort does not lie in the areas but in the residues — cement haze, silicone, film adhesive, labels, dust in joints and ventilation grilles — and in the dust that continues to fall from voids and suspended ceilings after the first pass. We therefore plan two passes with time in between, use acid only after testing the substrate, and document every room for the inspection. No subcontractors: whoever quotes for the work carries it out. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Final Cleaning from Bling Bling

What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.

1In business since 2014

A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.

2Registered core team

Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.

3The same people every time

The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.

4€3m public liability

Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.

5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP

Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.

6Multilingual

German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.

7No price without a site visit

A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.

8Dated proof

Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.

9Two passes, because construction dust falls afterwards

Dust continues to trickle out of suspended ceilings, tracks and service shafts after the first clean. The follow-up pass comes before the inspection, not after it.

10Building work and cleaning interlock

If a silicone joint, a coat of paint or a cover plate is still missing, our partner firm Skyline Bau GmbH takes that on — and the cleaning follows afterwards.

08. Final Cleaning for 5 typical situations

The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.

A show flat for viewings

One unit is brought forward and put into presentable condition even though the building is still a site — including the access route and a section of the stairwell.

After commissioning of the building services

Balancing the ventilation and heating blows dust out of the plant. The pass after that is not remedial work, it is planned in.

Before the handover inspection

The classic case: the date is fixed, the last trades have only just finished, and the space has to be presentable.

After the refurbishment of an occupied flat

Fine dust sits in textiles, on the tops of cupboards and in ventilation grilles, not only on the floor.

Before moving into a newly built flat

A first clean including cupboard interiors, windows and floors before the furniture arrives — afterwards half of it is out of reach.

★ Worth knowing

What is often misjudged about Final Cleaning

Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.

No blade goes near coated glazing

New windows frequently carry a solar control or anti-reflective coating on the outer face. Pushing mortar splashes off with a blade leaves fine scratches there which remain permanently visible against the light. We dissolve residues of that kind with contact time and a pad, and we report panes in which the damage was already in the glass before cleaning — after cutting work with an abrasive disc nearby, for instance.

Screed and concrete dust contains silica

The fine fraction from screed, concrete and masonry contains crystalline silicon dioxide, which can be drawn into the lungs. Sweeping, or a domestic vacuum, puts it back into the air, because the filter does not hold it. That is why we work with vacuums of dust class M and avoid dry sweeping on bare floors — it is occupational safety for our team and at the same time the reason the area genuinely stays dust-free afterwards.

Plaster dust first dry, then damp

Drylining dust consists essentially of gypsum. If water reaches it before it has been vacuumed up, a tenacious haze forms which dries onto glass, tiles and floors and can afterwards only be removed mechanically. The order, then, is not a matter of taste: vacuum completely first, working from the top down, then go over damp. Anyone who starts straight away with a mop does the work twice.

●. Frequently asked questions about Final Cleaning in Salzburg

What does Final Cleaning cost?

There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.

Is the site visit really free?

Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.

Does the same person come every time?

Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.

Is your staff properly registered?

All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.

What insurance is in place?

Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.

What happens if something is not right?

It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.

Can you work outside business hours?

Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.

Do I have to provide materials or a room?

Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.

What notice period applies?

The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.

Do you also work in English?

Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.

Which documents do I get?

A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.

How quickly can you start?

Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
