While manoeuvring, the tyre rubs rubber into the pores of the flooring. Neutral mop water will not take that off, however many times you go over it. What is needed is an agent that dissolves elastomers, plus mechanical work with a suitable pad — dosed on coated floors, so the coating stays intact.
Oil in the workshop floor is also a slip issue
Concrete and epoxy take oil into the open pore. A floor that is saturated becomes dangerously slippery when wet, and that is exactly where people work. Regular alkaline deep cleaning draws the oil out and restores the slip resistance. On floors that have gone uncleaned for a long time an optical shadow remains — we say so beforehand.
Blind showroom fronts are often not dirt at all
Rainwater running over concrete or cement surfaces of the facade leaves lime etching on the glazing. It looks like a grey haze but sits in the glass surface and does not come off with cleaning. Glass polishing can recover a good deal of it. We test it on one pane and say whether cleaning is enough or polishing is needed.
