02. What Dental Lab Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Vienna at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Staff room, goods-in and despatch
Kitchen, break room, sanitary areas and despatch bench run on their own interval alongside. At goods-in, material comes in from outside, which is why the shelf, handles and trolleys there are wiped separately.
Central extraction and filter chamber
The standing area, the housing from outside, the plant room floor and the area where dust escapes when the bag is changed. The work is done with a filter vacuum while the plant is off; filter changes and maintenance remain with the laboratory and the service engineer.
Firing and sintering area
The external surfaces of ceramic, sintering and preheating furnaces, the shelves, heat shields and the very fine, pale ceramic dust around them. The work is done only on cold equipment and without moisture reaching the insulation, the muffle or the thermocouple.
CAD/CAM station, scanner and screens
Scanner housings, optical windows, keyboards, mouse areas and milling machine housings are worked dry and antistatically, with no spray mist. With wet milling the coolant tank remains with the laboratory; we take on the surrounding area and the sludge on the floor.
Model archive and store
Shelves, the tops of cartons, box edges and the aisles in the archive carry a layer of dust that is taken up dry. Labelling stays legible, models are not moved, and no moisture comes into the archive, because plaster takes it up.
Glass, light fittings and lighting conditions
The inner faces of windows, partition glazing, luminaire diffusers and reflectors build up a film of milling and blasting dust that noticeably lowers the light level at the workstation. Because shade taking and layering work depend on the light, these surfaces appear in the plan with a frequency of their own.
Most of Vienna's dental laboratories sit in courtyard buildings, semi-basement premises or commercial units, many of them as practice laboratories directly alongside a group practice. In period buildings there is frequently a boarded floor with open joints under the PVC, in which plaster and milling dust lodges and can only be got out with a nozzle attachment. Deliveries and material transport run via the stairs or the goods lift and need an agreed standing position within the short-stay parking zone; night work in residential buildings is limited by the quiet hours, which is why rounds fall in the early evening.
03. Dental Lab Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A dental laboratory is not an office with a workbench: the main soiling is fine, abrasive dry dust from plaster, zirconia, alloys and blasting media, along with wax, monomers and hazardous substances in very small containers — and on the benches lie one-off pieces with a delivery date that nobody may move. Anyone who sweeps here and then mops wet distributes the dust into the room air and turns plaster dust into a crust that can only be released mechanically. We take up the types of dust separately and dry with filter vacuums, work station by station to a written release list, and place the round in the off-peak hours so that the fine dust has time to settle. We give the cost framework after the inspection, because the machinery, the extraction arrangement and the volume of dust determine the effort. In Vienna, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Dental Lab Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Off-peak hours, because fine dust needs time
Milling dust is still airborne after extraction and settles afterwards. We place the round after work ends, use filter vacuums rather than a sweeper, and wipe the surfaces last, so that everything is not grey again in the morning.
10Separate machines stay in the laboratory
For plaster, ceramic and metal dust there are separate vacuums with their own filters kept on the premises and not exchanged between clients — so nothing mixes and no foreign debris comes into the laboratory.
07. Dental Lab Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Dental Lab Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
Relocating or converting the laboratory
Once the benches and machines are out, the old plaster in skirting coves, cable trunking and under the extraction connections is reachable for the first time. That round is what makes the new layout worthwhile.
After stocktaking in the model archive
When the shelves are cleared for the review, several years of dust lie underneath. That is taken up dry while the shelves are clear.
When work comes back with inclusions
Bubbles and inclusions in resin or ceramic often have room dust as their cause — picked up at the mixing, layering or polishing station. The plan is then sharpened onto those stations, with a more frequent interval and materials of their own.
After conversion work or a new fit-out
Drilling dust, offcuts and silicone smears after new workstations and extraction lines have been installed, before the first job is done at the new station.
The annual deep clean with high level
Once a year over pipework, extract ducts, the tops of shelving, luminaire diffusers and the backs of machines — the surfaces on which the dust has sat for years.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Dental Lab Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Chair castors and mobile units grind the floor open
Metal and ceramic debris lodges in the castors of work chairs and mobile units — a material harder than any wear layer on PVC or linoleum. The castor thereby becomes a grinding wheel and matts the covering in a track around every workstation; at some point the surface looks permanently grey even when it has been mopped, because the light refracts in the micro-scratches. Cleaning alone will not bring that back. That is why with us the castors, axles and the undersides of mobile units belong in the rota, and we recommend soft twin castors for hard coverings — that is the cheapest floor protection a laboratory can have.
Water on plaster dust turns dirt into stone
Dental plaster is calcium sulfate hemihydrate: with water it forms the dihydrate again and hardens — which is exactly what happens when a damp mop meets dry plaster dust. On the floor a thin, stone-hard layer forms that can only be taken off mechanically, in skirting coves and joints it stays put, and in the drain a plug grows that no cleaner will dissolve. That is why in a laboratory the dry vacuum always comes first and mopping only afterwards, and at the plaster sink the separator counts for more than the sink.
Laboratory dust is an abrasive, and partly combustible
Zirconia, cobalt-chromium debris and blasting media such as aluminium oxide are harder than any floor wear layer: if the dust is left lying, it matts the covering under shoes and chair castors, and the surface looks permanently grey even though it has been mopped. Fine metal dust from working titanium and alloys also has to be handled as a combustible dust and must not end up in the same vacuum and the same bag as alcohol, monomer or wax residues. We take the types of dust up separately, use filter vacuums rather than a sweeper, and lay a barrier matting zone at the transitions — otherwise the debris travels on the soles of shoes as far as the staff room.

●. Frequently asked questions about Dental Lab Cleaning in Vienna
What does Dental Lab Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
