Conductive floors lose their function through dressing
ESD floors in electronics, measurement and technical rooms dissipate charge for as long as their surface stays conductive. Every film-forming dressing, every polymer coating and every surfactant film insulates and puts that property out of action — measurably, but not visibly, which is why it usually only comes to light at a test. Such surfaces need expressly approved cleaners without film formers, a suitable pad and thorough rinsing afterwards. In a server room there is an additional rule: no moisture into the void floor.
A cleaning plan without a record is worthless in an audit
Under the principles of food hygiene it has to be established which surface is cleaned with which agent, at which concentration, with which contact time, on which cycle and by whom — and it has to be checked and recorded. Part of that is that agents for surfaces in contact with food are approved for it and rinsed off with drinking water after the contact time. We write this plan together with you, keep the safety data sheets on site and maintain the record so that it can be put in front of an auditor.
A rate per square metre says nothing about the effort
The same area needs several times the time depending on use: what decides it is footfall frequency, floor build-up, how heavily the space is furnished and the number of surfaces that are touched by hand. An open sales room with a smooth covering is done by machine in minutes; a workshop of the same size with machinery in it is hand work.
