Floor, drainage channel, gratings, seats, handrails and door handles are cleaned and only then disinfected, with a product of proven efficacy against yeasts and filamentous fungi and at the dwell time the list gives.
Relaxation area, loungers and textiles
Covers, cushions and towelling are changed or reprocessed; massage and fragrance oils are pre-treated with a degreaser before extraction, because water only distributes the oil through the fibre. Oil rims on timber and stone loungers go through a method of their own.

Chlorinated air attacks stainless steel and the ceiling
Above a whirlpool or a pool there is an aerosol of pool water and disinfection by-products. The typical swimming pool smell comes not from the chlorine itself but from chloramines, which form when chlorine meets sweat, urea and cosmetics — a rise in that smell indicates loading, not cleanliness. For the components above it, that atmosphere is the risk: on highly loaded stainless steel parts in pool halls, stress corrosion cracking is a well-known failure pattern, and chloride-bearing cleaners accelerate it. There we work without chloride-bearing products, wipe stainless steel dry afterwards and report brown spots at once, because they go on working below the surface.
Slip resistance in a barefoot area is a measured value
Wet barefoot surfaces are divided into classes A to C, tested on the inclined plane to DIN 51097; for pool edges and showers the higher class applies. That value belongs to the surface as it was installed — and every film-forming additive lowers it: a mop-applied maintainer containing polymer, oil from the massage area, residue from brine or a scrub, and even an overdosed cleaner that is not rinsed off. That is why in the barefoot area we work without any maintenance additive, rinse clear after every treatment that leaves a residue, and report places where the profiling has been filled in by layers of limescale.
A sauna cabin will not take a cleaner you can smell
Untreated softwood and abachi are open-pored: surfactant, maintenance oil or fragrance concentrate soak in and are given off again at eighty to a hundred degrees. Whatever remains in the timber comes through with every infusion and is complained about by guests as chemical. The correct approach is dry mechanics: a brush, fine sanding of the bench surfaces along the grain, at most clear water with a specialist cleaner very sparingly dosed, and then heating the cabin through. Dark rims on the backrest are sweat in the timber — they can be abraded away, not wiped away.
