Pigeon spikes
Spike strips with blunt tips for ledges, window sills, gutters and edges. The most common solution — it prevents landing and does not injure. Made of stainless steel, durable and weather-resistant.
Bird netting
For larger areas: balconies, courtyards, light wells and facades. A mesh of about 50 mm against pigeons, finer against small birds. Matched in colour and properly tensioned, it is barely visible.
Tensioned wire
Thin wires tensioned at a low height — the pigeon finds no purchase. Almost invisible from a distance, ideal for window ledges, cornices and listed facades.
Protection for solar installations
The gap beneath PV modules is a favoured nesting place. Module-edge mesh keeps pigeons away without impairing the rear ventilation or the yield.
Complete balcony protection
A combination of netting over the open area and spikes or wire on the railing — the balcony stays free of droppings without the view and the appearance suffering greatly.
Why not ultrasound or decoys?
Pigeons get used to plastic crows, CDs and ultrasound within days — and they barely hear ultrasound at all. Only mechanical barriers work in the long term.

What is often misjudged about Pigeon Control

Deterrence without checking for broods is not deterrence
Town pigeons are feral domestic pigeons and fall under animal welfare law: it is prohibited to cause an animal unjustified pain, suffering or harm. Netting stretched over an occupied recess shuts adult or young birds in — that is not permissible, and in practical terms it is also the worst thing that can be done, because the smell then stays in the building for months and the area has to be opened up and remediated first. This is why every recess, every void and every eaves box is checked before any installation. If a nest with eggs or young is found, that section is deferred and secured later; where there are larger populations, the approach is agreed with the responsible authority. Adhesive pastes, poisons and traps are not an option with us — quite apart from the legal side, pastes clog the plumage and bind dust, so that after a season the surface is worse than it was before. And one point that is often underestimated when the work is quoted: deterrence moves birds. Secure only your own balcony and you will have them two windows further along, which is why the whole building is considered and not the square metre someone is complaining about.
Once the pigeons are gone, the pigeon tick moves on
In nesting places, wall crevices and voids lives the pigeon tick, Argas reflexus. It is active at night, feeds only briefly and survives for years without a host. If the pigeon disappears — because the loft has been closed or the nesting place taken down — the tick loses its host and migrates: through cracks in timber boarding, along services, through ceiling penetrations and socket outlets into the flats below. Bites can trigger strong allergic reactions, up to circulatory symptoms, and because the animal is small and nocturnal the cause is often only recognised after weeks. For planning purposes that means: before an occupied void is sealed, the question of whether it is colonised belongs in the assessment. Nests and droppings are removed beforehand, crevices and joints towards the flats are closed, and where there is any suspicion, treatment by a pest control specialist is put in first — closing it up and hoping is the most expensive route here. Besides the tick, nesting material also yields the red poultry mite, the pigeon louse fly and larder beetles, which take the same route.
Why deterrence is planned according to behaviour and surface
Pigeons are markedly faithful to a site and return to their breeding place over years — even after it has been made unattractive. They get used to stimuli without consequences within days, and that applies equally to decoys, fluttering tape, noise devices and ultrasound units; in the ultrasonic range the pigeon hears next to nothing in any case. Only physical barriers are effective, and then it comes down to matching them: spike strips on narrow edges, tensioned wire on visible cornices, netting for enclosed airspaces, mesh for openings, impulse track for edges subject to planning requirements. Wrongly dimensioned, the barrier itself becomes a nesting place: netting tensioned too low collects leaves and turns into a platform, rows of spikes that are too short leave the edge zones free, and in widely spaced spike strips nesting material is deposited until the tips have no effect. Cover right into the corner, mesh size, tension and the maintenance interval are therefore the points on which pigeon control is decided — not the choice of system on its own.

Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
