Lint where it actually lies

Coin and card machine, control panels, door handles, laundry trolleys and folding tables are wiped in a way the materials will take. No alcoholic product goes onto polycarbonate panels, because it triggers stress cracking that later opens up as crazing.
Moisture, ceiling and seals
Door seals and detergent drawers are wiped out and left dry, window reveals and ceiling areas above the row of machines checked. Where mould spotting shows, there is a report with a photograph — the extract capacity itself is a matter for the plant.

Lint is a fire load, not dust
Fibre debris from cotton and polyester lies loose, very fine and dry — it ignites easily and goes on smouldering, and it does so precisely where a dryer is giving off heat anyway. Where it lies dangerously is not on the floor but behind plinth panels, in the gaps along the row of dryers and in the exhaust grille: the places a quick round does not reach. That is why it is vacuumed dry rather than swept, to a plan covering the concealed zones, and only after that is wet work done anywhere.
The musty smell comes from the room, not from the machine
The wash cycle and vented dryers put large quantities of water vapour into a room that is usually small and often internal. If that air cools below the dew point at an external wall, a window reveal or a concrete soffit, the surface stays permanently damp, and from around eighty per cent surface humidity upwards moulds grow — and the smell then fixes itself onto freshly dried laundry again. We take the deposit off, keep seals, drawers and joints dry and report where the extract is plainly too weak; the ventilation capacity itself is a technical matter for the operator.
The slippery film on the floor is lime soap, not residual dirt
Overdosed detergent and fabric softener react with the lime in mains water to form poorly soluble lime soaps. Those settle as a smooth, matt film on porcelain stoneware, plinths and machine fronts and cannot be lifted with a neutral cleaner: it takes an acidic product with dwell time and a neutral wipe afterwards, otherwise the acid residue goes on working in the cement joint and erodes it to sand. If there is natural stone in the entrance, no acid is used there, but a method approved for that stone.
