02. What Shop Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Textiles on the sales floor
Carpet tiles around the plinths, fitting room curtains, bench seats and stools are vacuumed, spot treated, and extracted only where the area dries through before opening. Filtration soiling at the skirtings comes from the room air and needs treatment of its own.
Displays, terminals and read windows
Screens, LED advertising panels, self-checkout tills, hand scanners and the read windows of the security system are taken off dry or with a fine damp film. Alcohol, ammonia and scouring pads stay away from coated surfaces, because otherwise the anti-reflective coating goes cloudy.
The shopfront, the canopy and the outside zone
The roller shutter or grille, the door reveal, the shopfront plinth, A-boards, the underside of the canopy and the strip of pavement in front of the shop. Chewing gum, cigarette ends and sticker residue collect precisely where the customer stops.
The air conditioning unit, the air curtain and high-level edges
The indoor unit, the intake grille, the filter, the condensate tray and the air curtain above the door, plus the upper edges of shelving ends, pipes and sprinkler lines. Whatever lies up there falls onto the stock below every time the door slams.
Shop windows and glass fronts
Both sides, plus the frames, the floor track and the handle area of the all-glass door. On large panes we work with a guided squeegee stroke, because only that gives an even drying off.
The entrance and the barrier matting zone
Most of the dirt comes in over the first few metres behind the door. The coarse grating, the clamping profile and the textile mat are vacuumed and lifted, and the tray beneath them wiped out.
In the old town of Salzburg, access is the real issue: no vehicle drives into the Getreidegasse or the Judengasse, machines and water are carried in on foot, and the shopfronts are listed — guild signs, wrought iron and old glazing are treated only with agreed agents. The season sets the cycle: in the summer months and during the festival, footfall and handprints on glass are markedly higher, and in Advent wet dirt comes in over the barrier matting zone. The high rainfall makes the entrance zone the most important area in the shop.
03. Shop Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A shop has a very short window: cleaning is done before opening or after cashing up, and anything not dry by nine o'clock stands on the sales floor as a slipping hazard. On top of that, almost every surface in a shop is sensitive — polished porcelain stoneware, limestone, high-gloss fronts, coated glass, brass — and a universal product leaves marks there that show up immediately in the raking light from the spots. We record the coverings and surfaces at the inspection, settle the agent and the pad for each surface, and send people who know that same shop. Access, key arrangements and the alarm connection are settled beforehand and not on the first evening of work. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Shop Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9One contact for several sites
Branches run on one plan and one record of work per site, rather than on separate requests to separate contractors.
10Photographic records for head office
The branch manager does not have to describe the condition. Before-and-after photographs with a date go to the office that holds the contract.
07. Shop Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Shop Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
After a break-in or broken glass
Splinters in joints, carpet and fixtures, spray paint on the shopfront, drilling dust after the emergency glazing — with a photographic record for the insurer.
After promotion days with high footfall
Discount days leave scuff marks from shoes on light-coloured floors, handprints on glass and full fitting rooms; an additional round in the night that follows keeps the area in condition.
Before a new opening or a handover
Cement haze, film adhesive, drilling dust and silicone shadows off, before the stock goes in.
After the shopfitting has been altered
Saw dust from MDF settles in shelving profiles, light fittings and ventilation, and keeps coming down for days.
Before the Christmas trade
Shop windows, lighting, floor and fitting rooms once completely, because after that there is no free window for four weeks.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Shop Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Not every pane can be taken on with a blade
Solar control, mirror and anti-reflective coatings lie on the outer face of some glass, and a glass blade draws fine lines there that stay visible against the light. Equally sensitive is glass over which cement water has run after building work: the alkali leaches the silicate surface and a zone of corrosion forms that cleaning does not improve, because material is missing there. That is why we establish before the first visit which panes are coated, and work on those exclusively with contact time and a squeegee.
Stains that come back after carpet cleaning are wicking up from below
With too much moisture, dissolved dirt travels with the water into the backing and then rises again by capillary action as it dries — the stain reappears after a day or two in the same place, often larger than before. The technical term for that is wicking, and it is prevented with a sparing amount of solution, thorough extraction and a short drying time with air movement, and on sensitive surfaces with a dry foam or pad method instead of extraction. With carpet tiles there is the further point that over-wetted tiles lift at the edges and the bitumen backing loses its bond at the edge.
Stainless steel rusts where chlorine gets onto it
The passive layer of stainless steel is sensitive to chlorides: chlorine-based cleaners, road salt from the entrance and dried hand sanitiser as well leave pitting corrosion that cannot be cleaned away, because material is missing. On top of that comes foreign rust — iron particles from steel wool, drilling dust or winter air settle on the surface and go on rusting there, even though the stainless steel itself is sound. On stainless steel we work chloride-free, with the grain and with cloths that have not previously been on cast iron or drilling dust.

●. Frequently asked questions about Shop Cleaning in Salzburg
What does Shop Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
