02. What Shop Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Vienna at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Stockroom, staff room and welfare area
It is the area behind the door that decides an audit: shelf feet, the pallet space, the kitchen run, the changing area and the staff WC.
Lighting, spots and track
In retail the impression stands or falls with the light: dust on the reflector and the lens costs luminous flux, and on warm spots it bakes on hard. Work is done on cold fittings, dry, and with regard for the aiming, so that the beam still sits on the stock afterwards.
Metal and high-gloss elements
Brass handles, stainless steel plinths, anodised profiles, lacquered MDF fronts and handle strips are treated according to the material, and on brushed stainless steel the work follows the grain. Fingerprints on high gloss come off with little moisture and many folds in the cloth, not with polish.
Textiles on the sales floor
Carpet tiles around the plinths, fitting room curtains, bench seats and stools are vacuumed, spot treated, and extracted only where the area dries through before opening. Filtration soiling at the skirtings comes from the room air and needs treatment of its own.
Displays, terminals and read windows
Screens, LED advertising panels, self-checkout tills, hand scanners and the read windows of the security system are taken off dry or with a fine damp film. Alcohol, ammonia and scouring pads stay away from coated surfaces, because otherwise the anti-reflective coating goes cloudy.
The shopfront, the canopy and the outside zone
The roller shutter or grille, the door reveal, the shopfront plinth, A-boards, the underside of the canopy and the strip of pavement in front of the shop. Chewing gum, cigarette ends and sticker residue collect precisely where the customer stops.
In Vienna retail sits in three quite different settings: in the city centre with listed shopfronts, brass frames and historic stone plinths; on the Mariahilfer Straße and the district shopping streets with high footfall and small stockrooms; and in the shopping centres with the centre's own fixed hours. In the pedestrian zone, vehicle access is permitted only within a narrow time window, materials come in over the loading bay in the short-stay parking zone, and in older buildings the stockroom is usually in the cellar up a steep stair. With listed shopfronts we establish before the first visit what may be worked on the brass, the natural stone and the original glazing.
03. Shop Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A shop has a very short window: cleaning is done before opening or after cashing up, and anything not dry by nine o'clock stands on the sales floor as a slipping hazard. On top of that, almost every surface in a shop is sensitive — polished porcelain stoneware, limestone, high-gloss fronts, coated glass, brass — and a universal product leaves marks there that show up immediately in the raking light from the spots. We record the coverings and surfaces at the inspection, settle the agent and the pad for each surface, and send people who know that same shop. Access, key arrangements and the alarm connection are settled beforehand and not on the first evening of work. In Vienna, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Shop Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Photographic records for head office
The branch manager does not have to describe the condition. Before-and-after photographs with a date go to the office that holds the contract.
10The stock is not handled
What may be moved on a fixture is settled with the staff beforehand; we do not rearrange anything ourselves and do not redo displays.
07. Shop Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Shop Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
After water escapes from the air conditioning or a sprinkler
Limescale rims on glass and metal, damp under plinths and in the carpet, and the question of which areas will be dry again before opening.
After a break-in or broken glass
Splinters in joints, carpet and fixtures, spray paint on the shopfront, drilling dust after the emergency glazing — with a photographic record for the insurer.
After promotion days with high footfall
Discount days leave scuff marks from shoes on light-coloured floors, handprints on glass and full fitting rooms; an additional round in the night that follows keeps the area in condition.
Before a new opening or a handover
Cement haze, film adhesive, drilling dust and silicone shadows off, before the stock goes in.
After the shopfitting has been altered
Saw dust from MDF settles in shelving profiles, light fittings and ventilation, and keeps coming down for days.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Shop Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Chewing gum and label adhesive are two different problems
Chewing gum is a thermoplastic mass: it is made brittle with cold and lifted off, whereas heat and solvent smear it and draw it into porous material. Self-adhesive labels leave an acrylate adhesive that needs citrus terpenes or alcohol, and time rather than pressure — on acrylic, polycarbonate and coated surfaces those very solvents can produce stress cracking or matt patches. That is why with every adhesive found we first check the substrate, start in a concealed spot, and say beforehand where a shadow is going to remain.
Polished porcelain stoneware is not sealed
Polishing grinds into the surface and creates micropores that take up mopping water along with surfactant residue. The grey haze that is complained about most often in shops is usually exactly that residue and not dirt: the causes are overdosing, the missing pass with clear water, and film-forming maintenance products that have no business on this covering. It can be put right with an acidic deep clean, and avoided with sparing dosing and a second pass with clear water.
Limestone and marble forgive no acid
Both consist predominantly of calcium carbonate and are etched by acidic products; the spot goes matt and rough, and that damage cannot be cleaned away — only ground back and crystallised again. In a shop this rarely comes from the cleaning agent but from everyday use: drips of hand sanitiser, spilt citrus drinks, splashes of descaler at the coffee machine in the till area. At the inspection we mark out where no acidic product is used, and set that down in the schedule of services.

●. Frequently asked questions about Shop Cleaning in Vienna
What does Shop Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
