02. What Hospital Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Dialysis and outpatient places
The treatment chair, the arm rest, the connection area, the side table and the floor are worked after every change of place; the machine itself stays with the nursing staff. The cycle follows the treatment shifts and not the daily plan.
Ward kitchen and the food route
The ward kitchen, the distribution trolley, the trays, the refrigerated surfaces and the wash-up position are worked to the hygiene plan and HACCP, with their own materials. The food route does not cross the disposal route — and where the layout means it does, the two are separated in time.
Dirty utility rooms and the disposal route
The sluice room, the area around the bedpan washer-disinfector, waste and laundry collection points, transport trolleys and the lift cars of the service route are among the most heavily loaded surfaces in the building. They are worked last, with their own materials and by their own route.
Circulation areas, lifts and waiting areas
Corridors, stairwells, handrails, lift buttons, bed lifts, waiting areas and visitor sanitary facilities are hand-contact surfaces with a high frequency of use. They run on their own frequency, independent of the ward plan, because this is where visitors and patients meet.
Operating theatres
Between-case and terminal disinfection after procedures
Intensive care units
High-risk area, heightened protective measures
Salzburg has a marked seasonality: in winter accident numbers rise with tourism, the outpatient clinic, X-ray and the plaster room run continuously, and cleaning has to happen between patients rather than in a daytime window. The high rainfall keeps entrance zones and barrier matting permanently wet, which makes slip resistance and mat management a daily subject. Sites in the older stock of the city have narrow stairs and lifts, which is why materials and trolleys are planned in smaller units.
03. Hospital Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
Hospital cleaning is offered in Vienna by several specialist providers. What is different at Bling Bling Premium Reinigung: cleaning to hygiene requirements from a single source with a permanently employed, registered core team and no subcontractors — whoever quotes carries out the work — disinfection compliant with RKI, KRINKO and DIN 13063, theatre and terminal disinfection, a four-colour system and €3m public liability. A family firm since 2014. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Hospital Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Training on the hospital's own hygiene plan
Our staff work to the hospital's zone and risk plan, agreed with the infection control team — not to a scheme of our own laid over the existing plan.
10A change of pad instead of re-dipping
One fresh, pre-prepared pad per room and zone; nothing goes back into the solution, so that the concentration is maintained and no organisms are carried onward.
07. Hospital Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Hospital Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
After a burst pipe or water damage
Water in patient areas is critical twice over: moisture in layered construction and stagnation in the drinking water installation. We work the surfaces and their surroundings after release and report moisture findings rather than wiping them dry.
Returning an isolation area to normal operation
Before isolation is lifted comes the terminal disinfection with everything that belongs to it: textiles, curtains, mattresses, the floor drain, high-level surfaces. Release follows the check and the full contact time, not the timetable.
DIN 13063 and RKI
Processes to the hospital cleaning standard and to the RKI and KRINKO recommendations.
Theatre and terminal disinfection
Between-case and terminal disinfection of sensitive areas, validated and documented.
High-risk areas
Intensive care, isolation, the sterile supply surroundings — with biological protection levels.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Hospital Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Risk areas beat square metres
In hospital cleaning everything follows the infection risk and how close the surface is to the patient, not its size: the hospital cleaning standard DIN 13063 and the recommendations of the RKI and KRINKO place areas in risk classes, and frequency, agent, sequence and record follow from that. In practice it means that the bed frame, the bedside cabinet, the hand control, the drip stand and the door handle in a patient room are worked more often and with disinfection than the floor of the same room — the floor is of less hygienic relevance than the surface that is touched a hundred times a day. A schedule of services that names only square metres, room type and frequency therefore passes the hygiene plan by; it becomes usable only once the contact surfaces close to the patient appear in it as an item of their own with a frequency of their own. That is also why the area outputs calculated in a tender and the time actually needed often lie a long way apart.
Terminal disinfection is a procedure, not a product
In terminal disinfection the method decides: from clean to unclean, from top to bottom, one pad per surface or zone with no re-dipping into the solution, sufficient wetting and the full contact time before the room is occupied again. That includes the parts that are readily overlooked: curtains and privacy screens into the laundry cycle, mattress and cover to the manufacturer's instructions, the floor drain with its water seal, high-level surfaces and ventilation outlets, the remote control and the telephone. With the organism it becomes specific: against Clostridioides difficile sporicidal actives are needed, against noroviruses agents listed as virucidal — both load materials more heavily than the routine cleaner, so the manufacturer's approvals for synthetic leather, displays and stainless steel belong settled beforehand. The area is released after a check, not by the clock, and the check is documented.
Building work in an occupied hospital is a hygiene subject, not just a dust subject
Opening ceilings, ducts and service walls releases spores that occur in the ambient air anyway but become relevant where patients are immunosuppressed — mould spores from old layered construction are among them. That is why dust-tight containment, maintaining negative pressure in the works area, separate routes for material and personnel, airlocks and a fine clean before handover are not site cosmetics but part of infection control, and they are agreed with the infection control team. The same thinking applies after water damage: what matters is not the dried surface but the moisture in the construction beneath it, and in the drinking water installation the stagnation in sections of pipe that have not been flowed through for weeks. What we see in the course of that goes to the hospital as a finding with a photograph, because surface cleaning cannot resolve causes of that kind.

●. Frequently asked questions about Hospital Cleaning in Salzburg
What does Hospital Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
