03. Assisted Living Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
Cleaning for rehabilitation and assisted living is offered by several providers in Vienna. What is different at Bling Bling Premium Reinigung: dignified, hygienically correct cleaning from a single source with a permanent, registered core team and no subcontractors — whoever quotes the work carries it out — RKI hygiene with a four-colour system, procedures that keep accessibility in mind, a sensitive manner with residents and €3m public liability. A family firm since 2014.

06. 10 reasons for Assisted Living Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9The therapy plan beats the cleaning plan
The work is done in the gaps in the therapy and occupancy planning, equipment and mat areas between two groups rather than only in the evening.
10Contrast and tactile function are preserved
Contrast strips, floor markings and tactile guidance elements are not over-polished, covered over or laid with a gloss film, because they are orientation and not decoration.

Accessible flats and communal rooms, with dignity and discretion.
Accessibility
Slip-resistant floors, clear routes, disinfected handrails and grab rails.
Four-colour system
Strict separation against the transfer of germs, to RKI.
Dignity and recovery
Consideration for people who are convalescing — calm, quiet, respectful.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Assisted Living Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Barefoot areas have a set of rules of their own
Barefoot surfaces subject to wet conditions are not assessed by the R classes used for shod areas but by the assessment groups A, B and C: changing rooms sit at the lower end, showers and the pool surround at the upper. The slip resistance lies in the surface texture, and it is precisely that texture which holds on to limescale, skin grease and soap residues. Once it clogs, a group C surface behaves like a smooth tile even though it looks unchanged — which is why acidic descaling belongs in a fixed interval and film-forming care products do not belong in a wet area at all. The second point is microbiological: in barefoot zones the issue is the organisms that cause athlete's foot, that is to say yeasts and dermatophytes. A product listed only as bactericidal does not cover that; it takes a preparation with the appropriate spectrum of activity, and the stated contact time applies to the concentration as applied. On a wet surface the solution is diluted and acts more weakly, which is why the surface is squeegeed first and the product applied only then.
The therapy pool is above all a matter of chemistry and materials
Pool water is chlorinated, and chlorine compounds reach every surface in the room through splashing and aerosol. Two hard rules follow from that. First, acidic cleaners are never brought onto a surface on which chlorinated water is standing: the combination produces chlorine gas. The surface is rinsed with water beforehand, and sanitary cleaners and chlorine-based preparations are not used one after the other without an intermediate rinse. Second, chlorides are the enemy of stainless steel: on handrails, entry ladders, pool hoists and fixings, pitting and stress cracking develop if chloride-bearing moisture is left standing. That is why stainless steel parts in the wet area are worked with chloride-free products, rinsed clear and dried off — that is not a cosmetic step but the reason a handrail is still load-bearing years later. Pool water quality, chlorine readings and sampling follow the Austrian pool hygiene rules and remain with the operator; we document surfaces, products and intervals.
In assisted living the flat is a private home, not a house surface
Assisted living is legally a form of housing with its own tenancy or occupancy agreement and a separate care agreement — not a place in a home. More follows from that for cleaning than it sounds: the flat is entered only if the resident has agreed to it, at agreed times, and the scope is set out in that agreement, not in the general schedule of services for the building. Communal areas, by contrast, run to the house plan. Two points are often mixed up in practice. Cleaning is not a care service and not a domestic service — laundry, shopping and tidying personal belongings are not part of it and are not quietly done as well, because otherwise nobody knows any longer who is responsible for what. And objects stay where they stand: move an armchair half a metre and you take away the fixed point a person with limited mobility holds on to. The emergency call button, the pull cord and the sensors are not covered over, not hung with anything and not moved, because an emergency call that has been shifted is no emergency call when it matters.

●. Frequently asked questions about Assisted Living Cleaning
What does Assisted Living Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
