Bathroom, grout and shower enclosure
Limescale, soap residue and body oils are tackled separately: acidic on tile and glass, neutral on natural stone and acrylic. Taps and aerators are descaled without letting acid dry on coated surfaces.
Kitchen with hardened grease
Extractor hood, splashback, handle rails and the top edges of wall units carry an oxidised film of grease that does not respond to pressure. It needs an alkaline degreaser and dwell time; aluminium parts are excluded, because alkali darkens them.
Floors by covering
Sealed parquet and laminate only mist-damp, oiled floors with oil or soap care, design flooring without solvents, natural stone without acid. Edge joints, door rails and radiator recesses are part of it, because that is where the dust sits that you cannot see standing up.
Windows, frames and fittings
Glass, frame rebate, seal and fittings are cleaned, squeegeed and wiped dry; insect screens are taken out wherever that can be done without damage. In hard water, letting glass dry by itself leaves rims — which is why it is squeegeed, not left standing.
Hand contact surfaces, textiles and upholstery
Switches, handles, handrails, banisters and remote controls; mattresses and upholstery are vacuumed, stains treated locally and spray-extracted where needed — with so little water that the core stays dry and dries through in hours rather than days.
Sign-off against a list, with photographs
At the end the work is signed off against a list, with critical spots photographed before and after. Whatever can no longer be removed — etch marks, glass corrosion, plasticiser shadows — goes in the record, not into a discussion later.

What is often misjudged about Flat Cleaning

Milky shower glass is usually no longer limescale but the glass itself
If hard water dries on the pane for years, the alkaline residue attacks the glass surface: silicates are leached out and the surface roughens microscopically — glass corrosion. The deposit on top can certainly be removed with an acidic agent and dwell time; the cloudiness underneath stays, because it is no longer a deposit but geometry. The only lasting remedy is to squeegee after showering and not let the limescale dry on; existing corrosion needs glass polishing. We tell you at the first visit which stage your pane is at, so the expectation matches the result.
Vinegar is not an all-purpose cleaner, and with chlorine it is dangerous
Citric acid and vinegar cleaners etch natural stone containing lime: marble washstands, limestone tiles and travertine develop matt patches that only go away with refinishing. Cement-based joints are eroded by acid, and coated taps lose their shine over time. Above all, an acidic sanitary cleaner must never meet a product containing chlorine or active oxygen — that produces chlorine gas, and in a small, poorly ventilated bathroom that becomes dangerous quickly. We work to a plan of agents for each flat, documented and without mixing.
Dark rims under furniture feet and at the window board are not dirt
Plasticisers and anti-ageing agents from rubber feet, castors and felt glides migrate into vinyl and design flooring; the discolouration sits in the wear layer and cannot be cleaned out, whatever the product. In the window reveal, the black line is usually mould at the coldest point in the flat: the surface drops below the dew point, and from around eighty per cent surface humidity the fungus grows. We take it off at the surface with a suitable agent, but the lasting remedy is ventilation, heating or a structural improvement. We record both in the initial survey, so that the cleaning is not later held responsible.
