What is often misjudged about Disinfection

Hand disinfection works through quantity and rub-in time, not through the brand
An alcohol-based hand rub is tested for a quantity and a rub-in time, and in practice both are undercut. Enough product means the hands stay visibly wet for the whole of the rub-in time; a single short pump dries within seconds and then nothing more happens. The places that are missed are always the same: thumbs, fingertips, nail folds and the backs of the hands. Two further points are regularly got wrong. First, hands must be dry beforehand: water left on the skin dilutes the alcohol below the concentration it was tested at. Second, alcohol has a gap — against non-enveloped viruses such as noro and rota it is largely ineffective, and there washing with soap under running water, or a product with a demonstrated virucidal effect, is what is called for. And skin care belongs with it rather than against it: cracked, inflamed skin carries more organisms and can no longer be disinfected properly, which is why a cream is part of the arrangement and not a comfort.
A disinfectant is a biocidal product and is bound by its label
Surface and hand disinfectants are biocidal products. They may be placed on the market for a stated purpose, and the label is not advice but the binding instruction: concentration, contact time, the surfaces it suits, protective equipment, and whether it has to be rinsed off. Three things follow from that for daily practice. Nothing is mixed — acid with a chlorine-based agent releases chlorine gas, chlorine with quaternary ammonium compounds cancels the effect on both sides, and a combination invented on the spot has no tested efficacy at all. Nothing is made up by eye: household bleach diluted by feel is either ineffective or it damages stainless steel, natural stone and seals. And nothing goes into an unlabelled bottle, because the next person cannot know what is in it, what it attacks or what to do if it reaches an eye. Concentrates stay closed, stored locked and away from foodstuffs, and the safety data sheets stay where the product is.
Carrier-free procedures: line of sight, dose and their limits
UV-C works only where the light actually falls. Everything in shadow — the underside of a handle, the back of a switch, the inside of a drawer, anything under a cloth — receives no dose, and the dose itself falls steeply with distance, so a lamp in the middle of the room does not treat the corners. UV-C also ages plastics and printing, and it must not reach skin or eyes, which means the room is empty and secured. Ozone is a respiratory irritant, requires an empty and sealed room and a long clearance period, and it attacks rubber, seals and many plastics; the smell afterwards is not proof of effect. Disinfection mats and walk-through arches belong in the same category: on a shoe sole with any real soiling on it the contact time is a fraction of a second, which is nowhere near enough, and a barrier matting system holds far more dirt than the mat does organisms. All of these are additions to surface work under particular circumstances, never a substitute for it.

Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
