02. What Embassy Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Chancery and offices of the mission
Working rooms, meeting rooms, registry and tea kitchens are cleaned outside office hours. Desks are not touched, papers are not moved, waste-paper baskets are emptied only where that has been agreed. What is left lying in a chancery is none of our business — and the work is done accordingly.
Consular section and waiting area
The consular section has the heaviest public traffic in the whole building: counters, waiting benches, ticket dispenser, door handles, sanitary facilities. It is cleaned daily, contact surfaces are wiped separately and the sanitary facilities are gone over again during the day where needed. This is the area visitors see and by which they judge the mission.
Residence and reception rooms
Drawing rooms, dining room, entrance hall and staircase of the residence are a home and a stage at the same time. The work is done quietly, at agreed times and according to the wishes of the household. Parquet, natural stone, carpets, brass and crystal each receive the method the material can take, not the one that is quickest.
Receptions and events
Before a reception the rooms are prepared; afterwards, during the night or in the early morning, they are put back in order: floors, sanitary facilities, kitchen, cloakroom, external areas. Both are planned as a job in their own right, so that the routine cleaning does not suffer and office business continues undisturbed the next morning.
Sanitary facilities, kitchen and staff rooms
Sanitary facilities for visitors and staff, tea kitchens, canteen areas and changing rooms are worked separately from the rest of the building, with separate equipment for each zone. Nothing then travels from the public area into the chancery or from the kitchen into the drawing room.
External areas, entrance and driveway
Forecourt, entrance steps, the area around the flagpole, the security lock and the driveway are the first thing a guest sees. They are looked after continuously, in winter including clearing the accesses, in agreement with the security service, which decides when who works where.
03. Embassy Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
Cleaning an embassy or a consulate is not office cleaning with a flag outside. The difference lies in what happens before the first shift: staff are named individually, vetted and kept the same, every cleaner signs a confidentiality declaration, access lists are kept, protected areas are entered only when accompanied. Added to that is a building with three different worlds under one roof — public traffic, chancery, home — and materials that are not treated with standard agents. Anyone who plans it as an ordinary site has a problem at the latest with the first change of staff or the first reception.

06. 10 reasons for Embassy Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Staff you know
For every mission a fixed circle of cleaners is named, with names, photographs and the documents the security service needs for its vetting. Replacements are notified in advance, not introduced at the door in the morning. Our staff are employed and registered with us — whoever works in the building is known.
10Confidentiality is part of the contract
Every cleaner signs a confidentiality declaration before the first shift, and it continues to apply after the engagement ends. In certain zones mobile phones stay in the locker, nothing is photographed anywhere, and the building is not talked about outside. That is stated in the induction and checked afterwards.
07. Embassy Cleaning in 5 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Embassy Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
A new mission or new premises
After moving into a building or a floor, the first step is a deep clean, then the zones and the times are set with the security service, then the routine cycle begins.
A change of cleaning contractor
Usually the reason when staff kept changing or the residence was done by the same people as the waiting area. We record the condition with photographs before we start.
National day and large receptions
Pre-cleaning the day before, post-cleaning during the night or in the early morning. Short-notice appointments are the rule in this field, not the exception — the core team is sized for that.
A change of ambassador
On a change the residence is handed over. In between comes a complete clean of the living quarters, including textiles and furnishings, before the new household moves in.
A high-level visit or a delegation
Before a state visit or a delegation, the reception rooms, guest areas and sanitary facilities are gone through separately. The timetable comes from protocol and we work to it.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Embassy Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Three buildings under one roof
A mission consists of the public area with the consular section, the chancery with the working rooms and the residence as a home. Each of these areas has different hours, different access rules and different requirements of the staff. The waiting area is cleaned daily and in part during opening hours, the chancery only outside office hours, the residence as agreed with the household. Anyone who does all three with the same trolley and the same cleaner in one pass carries dirt and germs from the public area into the home — and, incidentally, breaches the access rules. That is why the zones are planned separately, with separate equipment and separate time windows.
Representative materials do not tolerate standard agents
Residences and reception rooms have parquet and natural stone floors, antiques, crystal chandeliers and polished brass fittings. Parquet is damp-mopped, never wet; marble and limestone do not tolerate acidic cleaners, they turn dull and rough; brass is polished with the appropriate agent, lacquered brass on the other hand only dry; crystal is cleaned by hand, piece by piece. Oriental carpets are only vacuumed, the deep clean is done by a specialist workshop. Antiques are dusted dry and otherwise not touched. The staff for these rooms are trained specifically for them — the wrong agent causes damage in a single morning that nobody can undo.
Security begins before the first shift
Missions decide for themselves whom they let into the building. For that they need the details of the intended staff from us in good time, so that their own vetting can run. After that the rule is: access lists are kept, passes are worn, protected areas are entered only accompanied by security personnel, mobile phones stay outside in certain zones. An absence is not covered with an outside cleaner but from the named circle, and if that is not possible the shift is postponed. That occasionally costs a day — it never costs the trust.

●. Frequently asked questions about Embassy Cleaning
What does Embassy Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
