02. What Climbing Gym Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Graz at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Training and fitness area
Dumbbell grips, rings, campus board rungs, equipment padding, floor mats and mirrors. Contact surfaces with listed agents and the contact time observed, padding without solvents.
Water point, forecourt and outdoor climbing tower
The drinking fountain and slop sink, the forecourt with grit and leaves, the outdoor climbing tower with algae and moss on timber, concrete and steps. External areas run on a seasonal cycle.
Chalk dust on floors, edges and high-level surfaces
The dust settles on every horizontal surface: beams, luminaires, ventilation grilles, shelves, window sills. It is vacuumed off, with a fine filter where there is a lot of it, and not swept.
Fall zone matting and impact protection covers
Covers pH-neutral and without solvents, seams, hook-and-loop fastenings and butt edges individually. The mats are not soaked but wiped damp and drawn over dry afterwards.
Climbing holds and volumes
Cleaned to the manufacturer's specification in a dip bath with a brush, rinsed clear, dried completely, and only then back on the wall. Threads and bearing faces are included, because chalk bakes on there.
Climbing wall, texture and t-nuts
The wall surface is vacuumed and brushed off dry, with no water in the drilling, the edge or the panel joint. Anything noticeable on t-nuts and bolting we report in writing.
In Graz many climbers move between the centre and the rock in the surrounding area, and that brings sand, soil and plant remains in on shoes and rope bags — a different kind of dirt from pure chalk and a reason to time the entrance and mat-edge zones more tightly. The centres stand in commercial areas, often on a slope and with tight accesses. The semester rhythm brings peaks in winter, and the particulate situation in the basin makes ventilation filters and high-level surfaces due earlier.
03. Climbing Gym Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
In a climbing centre the main soiling is a powder: chalk is fine-grained, hygroscopic and mildly alkaline, it settles on every horizontal surface, and with water it becomes a smeary film that is more slippery than the dust was before. On top of that there are components with a safety function — mat covers, wall texture, holds, textile equipment — which the wrong chemistry does not make clean but makes worse, and does so invisibly. We work dry where chalk lies, wet only where the construction can take it, and we keep to the manufacturers' specifications for mats and holds. The cost framework we give after the inspection with the centre management, because the wall area, the height and the access determine the effort. In Graz, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Climbing Gym Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Hire equipment with separated issue
Returned shoes and shoes ready for issue are stored separately and the treatment recorded with the date, so that the centre has something in hand if a complaint is made.
10A cycle by zones rather than by area
Mats, footholds, glass, the hire desk and the training area run at their own intervals, because they clog up at different rates — the plan is set with the centre management according to occupancy.
07. Climbing Gym Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Climbing Gym Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
A new opening or an extension
Drilling dust, sawdust, film remains and cardboard abrasion before the first use — once thoroughly, so that the dust does not keep coming back for months.
The rental shoes are complained about
If shoes smell or are issued damp, what is missing is the procedure between return and issue: treat, brush, dry open, store separately.
Footholds have gone black and slippery
Sole rubber forms a closed, smooth layer on precisely the small footholds. That comes off mechanically and is placed as an appointment alongside the setting plan.
Before a competition or a school event
Mats, glass, sanitary areas, the spectator zone and the hire desk in an additional appointment, with a fixed completion time before admission.
The outdoor season is over
On the outdoor climbing tower, timber decks, steps and the forecourt there is algae, moss and leaves, and grit in the entrance. One round before the winter and one after it.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Climbing Gym Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Rubber abrasion comes off mechanically and by nothing else
The black coating on small footholds, edges and narrow ledges is sole rubber, which transfers under pressure and frictional heat. It is a closed, smooth layer and makes the foothold slippery precisely where the surface is small — to the climber it feels like a bad day, but in fact it is a maintenance condition. Solvents and strong degreasers attack the textured coating of the wall and the polyurethane of the holds without dissolving the rubber; it is taken off dry with a brush, an eraser block or a pad, and some patience. What must not come off with it are the route markings: colour dots, strips of tape and chalk marks are information, and a deleted marking is a deleted route.
The gap between the mats is the place nobody sees
Boulder impact protection consists of several elements with joints, overlaps and edge trims. Chalk trickles in, compacts with moisture into a hard layer, and with it come hair, tape remains and small items. That is, first, a hygiene point, because people work there barefoot and with their hands, and second a safety point: a compacted deposit and slipped edge trims let the elements travel against each other, and then an edge or a gap arises that is hit in a fall. That is why joints are vacuumed out, elements lifted according to plan, hook-and-loop fastenings and edge trims checked, and anything noticeable reported in writing. The release of the impact protection surface itself remains with the centre's technical staff.
Chalk is an alkaline powder and not ordinary dust
Climbing chalk is at its core basic magnesium carbonate: very fine-grained, mildly alkaline and strongly water-attracting. If it gets wet, a smeary paste forms that is slippery on a hard covering and dries on in joints, and a single wet round over dry chalk leaves the surface worse than before. Sweeping brings it back into the room as fine dust, from where it goes into the ventilation and the filters — that is why it is vacuumed off first, where there is a lot of it with a dust class M vacuum and a fine filter, and only then drawn over barely damp with a neutral cleaner.

●. Frequently asked questions about Climbing Gym Cleaning in Graz
What does Climbing Gym Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
