02. What Indoor Pool Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Sauna, steam room and relaxation room
Timber benches and backrests with clean water and a brush in the direction of the grain, the steam room against limescale, ladles, buckets, head rests and loungers. No fragrance and no surfactant residue is left behind in the cabin.
Glazing, roof lights and condensation zones
On glass and metal profiles, spray mist from the pool water dries to a haze of limescale and salts. Work is done on a cycle with mildly acidic products and soft tools, and at height from a platform or rope-assisted.
Ventilation grilles, floor outlets and recirculation chambers
Supply and extract grilles, outlets in steps and wall recesses and accessible chambers are taken off dry. The inside of the ductwork and the air handling unit stays with the pool plant technicians.
Lockers, valuables boxes, mats and hairdryers
Lockers inside with hair, sand and plaster remains, the locking mechanism dry, the undersides of benches, rubber mats lifted and worked on both sides, hairdryers and shelves in the changing area.
Barefoot areas and the pool surround
Work is done with a brush and suction, not with a mop: barefoot slip resistance arises from the open texture of the tile, and that has to stay clear. Assessment groups A to B on the surround and C in sloping areas are the specification the method is aligned to.
Overflow channel, ladders and pool edge
Biofilm forms in the channel, because warmth, damp and whatever is carried in all come together there. It is worked mechanically, listed products are given their contact time, and access ladders and rails are done individually.
Salzburg pools are predominantly hotel and wellness areas with two strong seasons: winter and the summer festival period. In between, only short intervals remain for maintenance and deep cleaning, which is why the sequence is planned in hours. The high rainfall and the generally damp setting lengthen drying inside the building, so that barefoot areas and changing rooms stay wet longer than in drier cities — showers, footbaths and changing rooms are given a tighter interval there.
03. Indoor Pool Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
An indoor pool hall is a chemically loaded space: warm, damp air, chlorides on every surface, lime soap wherever people shower, and barefoot traffic on every metre. The two mistakes one sees there daily are acid on cement grout and chlorine-based products on stainless steel — both leave damage to the building element and not to the cleanliness. We work area by area with matched products, keep to contact times, treat barefoot areas mechanically and take the channel into the schedule of services as an item of its own. We give the cost range after the inspection with the pool management, because the pool perimeter, the tile build-up and the operating hours determine the effort. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Indoor Pool Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Listed products with the contact time observed
Disinfection works through time and not through quantity; our staff are trained on that and work with RKI/VAH-listed products. Spraying on and wiping off immediately is not disinfection but wetting.
10Working in the closed period, with the same people
The night window, closing day or maintenance week is agreed beforehand and staffed from the permanently employed core team. Access to plant rooms is logged, not left to changing casual staff.
07. Indoor Pool Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Indoor Pool Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
Condensation streaks on glazing and profiles
When windows and metal profiles are permanently wet, a haze forms that binds into the glass surface over time. A cycle keeps it away and makes permanent damp visible as a finding.
Before the school and club season starts
After the summer break, changing rooms, showers, lockers and footbaths go back into full use. A pass before the first course sets the starting condition.
A deep clean in the maintenance window
With the pool drained, the channel, pool head, ladders and tiled surfaces are reachable that cannot be got at during operation. This window is planned through, not improvised.
The surround has become slippery
A film of grease, body-care products and lime soap closes off the open tile texture, and that texture is exactly what carries the slip resistance in a wet barefoot area.
There is a strong smell of chlorine in the hall
The smell comes from combined chlorine, which also persists on surfaces and in the channel. Consistent surface work reduces the supply of what is carried in.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Indoor Pool Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Stainless steel in an indoor pool hall is a special case
Chlorides in the warm, damp hall air settle on stainless steel and can lead there to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking — fine cracks that can hardly be seen from outside and can affect load-bearing parts. The common grade 1.4301 is not permanently resistant in an indoor pool atmosphere; for load-bearing components only high-molybdenum grades are provided for, and fixings from a DIY store have no place there. For the cleaning that means: no chloride- or chlorine-based products on stainless steel, rinse off, wipe dry — and report anything notable on bolted connections and suspensions in writing.
The waterline is a greasy rim and not a limescale rim
At the water surface, whatever was on the skin collects: skin oils, sun cream, body lotion and hair products. These substances form a tough, water-insoluble film that binds dirt and goes dark over time — acid does not help there, because it is not limescale. Work is done with a mildly alkaline pool cleaner, a brush and contact time. With a liner a second point comes in: abrasives, solvents and hard pads draw plasticiser out of the PVC liner, it goes matt, chalks and becomes brittle at the welded seam — which is why the lining comes before the product. And the rim comes back as long as people do not shower; the obligation to shower before entering the pool is not a formality but the most effective part of the cleaning.
Sauna timber tolerates no cleaner
Untreated softwood in the cabin is absorbent: surfactants, fragrances and disinfectants soak in and are given off again on heating up — the cabin then smells of cleaner, and the emission irritates eyes and airways. Benches are therefore worked with clean water and a brush in the direction of the grain, heavily coated surfaces sanded mechanically, and seat slats taken out where needed rather than scrubbed wet. Hygiene in a sauna area is decided outside the cabin in any case: on handles, door levers, loungers, head rests, footbaths and barefoot routes — there we work with listed products and the contact time observed. The stove and the stones stay with the pool plant technicians.

●. Frequently asked questions about Indoor Pool Cleaning in Salzburg
What does Indoor Pool Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
