02. What Private Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Textiles on the cycle
Rugs, runners, curtain hems, upholstery and mattresses are vacuumed and turned on the cycle, and bed linen is changed by arrangement. A deep clean with extraction is a separate appointment and not part of the weekly pass.
Balcony, terrace and windows outside
Floor areas, railings, insect screens, blinds and external louvre blinds, and windows outside at ground floor level and off a balcony. For surfaces higher up the visit is planned separately, because fall protection and equipment come into it.
Ancillary rooms and storage areas
Cellar, store room, hallway, garage and the household's own share of the stairwell run with the job at the agreed interval. These are the areas from which dust and grit travel into the home.
What we do not touch
Desk mats, open papers, jewellery, medicines and personal compartments are left untouched, and the surfaces beneath them are cleaned only on express release. We do not move things around or file things away, because otherwise nobody finds what they were looking for.
A fixed cycle, the same person
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, with a named member of staff assigned and arranged cover for holidays or illness. The handover of keys is signed for and where they are kept is recorded in writing.
Kitchen with its film of grease and its limescale
Fronts, extractor hood, splashback and handles carry a film of grease which is dissolved with an alkaline agent; taps and sink need something acidic and a short contact time. Glass ceramic is worked with a blade scraper and a special paste, not with an abrasive, and stainless steel always in the direction of the grain.
The highest rainfall among our locations and long damp spells mean condensation at the window, mildew stains in north-facing rooms and dark spots in the silicone of the bathroom — more often than in dry locations, and we report them instead of covering them up. Many second homes and commuter flats need looking after while empty, with airing, running the water against dry traps and a check before the owner arrives. In the old town there are buildings without a lift and with narrow stairs, and there the equipment stays at the property.
03. Private Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
In a private household two things matter that a firm has to provide and an informal arrangement at the kitchen table does not: reliability when someone is off, and a clear framework for registration, liability and keys. To that is added a knowledge of materials, because the most expensive damage in a household comes not from carelessness but from the wrong product on stone, wood or glass ceramic. We work with employed, properly registered staff, with a schedule of work for each household, keys signed for, and current public liability cover. We give the cost range after the inspection, because area, fittings and cycle determine the work involved. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Private Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Keys with a record
Handover and return are signed for, safekeeping is regulated, and if staff change the handover is documented again. That is the point at which informal arrangements regularly fail.
10Damage is reported, not kept quiet
A broken glass or a damaged surface is reported the same day and dealt with through the public liability cover. Remedial work on cleaning defects follows within 48 hours.
07. Private Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Private Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
After a house move
Unpacking leaves cardboard fibre dust on every surface, along with adhesive residues on floors and door frames. That is a follow-up visit and not a pass on the cycle.
Holiday let or short-term letting
A changeover clean with laundry, an inventory check and a handover photograph between two guests, in a tight time window and to a fixed sequence. Here reliability on the day counts for more than thoroughness over the week.
A working household on a cycle
The most common case: two people in work, children, little time. The rhythm is placed on the day of the week where it pays off most.
After tradespeople or a renovation
Mineral fine dust sits on every high-level surface and in the textiles after sanding and drilling. That takes several passes with vacuum extraction, not one damp wipe.
Before or after a party
Beforehand the bathroom, kitchen, glass and floors; afterwards stains, kitchen and waste. Both are single visits and not part of the cycle.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Private Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
More product does not mean cleaner
Overdosed cleaners leave a surfactant film that attracts dust and makes glass and dark floors smeary — the home becomes dirty again faster than it did before. Separation matters just as much: microfibre pads and cloths are colour-coded by area so that sanitary germs do not travel to the kitchen worktop, and the mopping water is changed rather than used to the end. Microfibre itself loses its effect if it is washed with fabric softener, because the fibre tips stick together — it is washed without fabric softener at sixty degrees.
The source of the smell in a household is usually an appliance
Anyone washing at thirty degrees with liquid detergent gives bacteria and fats the best of conditions in the outer drum, the door seal and the lint filter — the musty smell in freshly washed laundry comes from there and not from the detergent. What helps is a regular hot wash at sixty degrees with a powder detergent containing bleach, along with cleaning the seal, the filter and the detergent drawer, and leaving the door open. In the dishwasher it is the filter, the spray arm and the door rebate; in the coffee machine the brew unit. The extractor hood is the most important point: a grease-saturated filter reduces the extraction performance and, above a gas burner or in a fat fire, is the bridge that carries the fire to the hood.
Coatings and plastics do not forgive the standard cleaner
The screens of televisions, tablets and monitors have anti-reflective and oleophobic layers which are broken down by cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia — what remains afterwards is a patchy, milky image that can no longer be polished out. High-gloss kitchen fronts are lacquered or foil-wrapped surfaces: an abrasive pad, or a worn microfibre cloth with a grain of sand in it, puts in fine scratches that remain permanently visible in raking light. Acrylic glass on shower screens and furniture reacts to alcohol with stress cracking, and rubber seals and synthetic leather are made brittle by it. That is why we record in the schedule of work which surface is treated with what, and on screens we work exclusively with dampened, clean cloths.

●. Frequently asked questions about Private Cleaning in Salzburg
What does Private Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
