Cloth tape on parquet is a different case after hours than after days
The adhesive migrates into the surface with warmth; on oiled floors and on resilient flooring, after two days there is a shadow left which remains visible even after solvent treatment. Anyone taping cables down on a dance floor or an escape route should use tape with a residue-free adhesive and take it off at the end of the event, not on the next working day. We look at the taped positions during the build and record what has to come off before the strike.
Broken glass in a public area is not a case for a broom
Splinters travel a long way and settle into needlefelt, stage carpet and joints; a broom drives them deeper into the pile instead of taking them up. The work is done with the area cordoned, coarse pieces into a puncture-proof container, and afterwards several vacuum passes with a brush roller in alternating directions. We record where the breakage happened so that the spot is gone over again on the final pass — barefoot use the next day is the real reason for that effort.
Candle wax and chewing gum need temperature, not force
Paraffin draws into the capillaries of absorbent natural stone and unsealed screed and leaves a dark rim which remains visible after scraping; on textiles it is drawn out with warmth and absorbent paper, not rubbed. Chewing gum is frozen and then lifted off whole, because warm wiping spreads the rubber out. Anyone standing pillar candles on stone without a holder should know that beforehand — we say so at the inspection.
