Floor protection before the build
Under the stage, the bar and the vehicle routes, protective fleece or honeycomb panel goes down on the flooring. Whatever is covered does not have to be rescued afterwards.
A first clean before doors open
After the build there is cardboard dust, cable ties, scraps of film and abrasion from pallet trucks lying about. The pass is timed so that the hall is finished when the doors open, not during the admission.
Quiet service cleaning during the event
Staff on a circuit keep the glass routes clear, change the waste stations and take up spilt drinks immediately. With a standing audience the wet patch is the risk, not the litter.
Sanitary checks paced to the number of visitors
The rounds follow the number of guests and the drinks being served, not the clock. Restocking, keeping basins and floor dry, changing containers before they overflow.
Waste separation and presentation for collection
Glass, light packaging, cardboard and residual waste collected separately and taken to the receiving point. The disposal itself runs under the venue's own contract.
Night cleaning through to handback
After the strike: sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming textile areas and stain treatment, until the hall goes back in the agreed condition — with photographs of the final state.
03. Event Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
An event does not have one cleaning window but three: before the doors open, during the event itself, and after the strike, usually within 24 hours and for the greater part at night. Quotations rarely fail on thoroughness; they fail because the night shift is too thinly staffed while the hall has to go back the following morning. We plan the three windows separately, staff them from our permanently employed core team and record the final condition photographically. Whatever can no longer be removed from the flooring goes in the record, and not first in the venue's claim. No subcontractors: whoever quotes for the work carries it out.

Confetti and glitter are a material problem, not a sweeping problem
Coloured paper confetti bleeds onto light-coloured natural stone and onto unsealed screed as soon as it gets wet: the dye draws into the capillaries and once dry cannot be got out with water. Glitter made from plastic film is held fast by the flat weave of an exhibition carpet and needs a brush roller and several vacuum passes, not one. Before the event we say which effect is defensible over which flooring, and we protect the surface beneath.
Sugar and alcohol leave a film that water does not dissolve
Spilt liqueur, syrup and energy drink dry to a sticky layer which binds dust and makes a noise under shoes. On polymer-coated floors it only comes away with a mildly alkaline cleaner and contact time, and afterwards a neutral pass follows, because surfactant residue is sticky too. On textile flooring the stain belongs in the spray extraction before the sugar crystallises out.
Cloth tape on parquet is a different case after hours than after days
The adhesive migrates into the surface with warmth; on oiled floors and on resilient flooring, after two days there is a shadow left which remains visible even after solvent treatment. Anyone taping cables down on a dance floor or an escape route should use tape with a residue-free adhesive and take it off at the end of the event, not on the next working day. We look at the taped positions during the build and record what has to come off before the strike.
