Old building components may contain asbestos
Fibre cement sheets on sheds and roofs, black bitumen floor adhesives under old coverings, some night storage heaters and old sealing cords are possible asbestos-containing products. They only become dangerous once fibres are released — that is, on breaking, drilling or grinding. That is why with us material of that kind is not broken up and not thrown into the skip, but left untouched until an authorised specialist firm takes over the dust-tight packaging and the disposal.
Files and hard drives are not waste paper
The client remains responsible for papers containing personal data, even where a firm is doing the clearance.
