02. What Dance School Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
The dance floor, treated as its covering requires
Vinyl dance flooring, linoleum, and oiled or sealed parquet each call for their own agent and their own quantity of moisture. Work is done barely damp with a dry pass drawn straight after it.
Grip as the object of the cleaning
Residues from surfactants or maintenance products change the way the floor slides. Dosing is therefore kept short and the surface is drawn over with clean water, so that it neither sticks nor slips.
Mirror walls and ballet barres
Mirrors streak-free down to the bottom edge, barres as hand contact surfaces with a listed agent, along with wall brackets, plinths and edge trims.
Rosin and talc residues
Rosin from pointe and tap work binds to the covering as a sticky layer and does not dissolve in water. It is taken off separately and with an agent approved for that covering.
Changing rooms, showers and barefoot areas
Benches, lockers, shower trays and drainage gratings. Barefoot areas are disinfected, because dermatophytes are passed on by way of the tray and the grating.
Ventilation, reception and waiting area
Supply air grilles, fans, reception desk, cloakroom, benches and the glass doors on which handprints and hairspray collect.
03. Dance School Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A dance floor is a piece of sports equipment, and its surface is part of how it functions: it has to give purchase on landing and at the same time permit a defined amount of turn, and both depend on the residue the cleaning leaves behind. That is exactly where most contracts go wrong — a film of polish makes the floor shiny and the pirouette uncontrolled, a surfactant residue makes it tacky, and standing mop water runs into the substructure of a sprung floor. We work to the floor manufacturer's specification, barely damp and without film-forming products, and place the rounds in the windows between classes. Only after the site inspection is it settled what the work covers; the type of covering, the number of studios and the density of classes decide that.

06. 10 reasons for Dance School Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Work in the breaks between classes
The studio is booked in the evening and at competitions over the weekend. We place the rounds in the windows that are genuinely free, early and late included.
10A report on the substructure
If the floor no longer springs in places, or a seam is lifting, we say so. The repair work is carried out by our partner firm Skyline Bau GmbH.
07. Dance School Cleaning in 5 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Dance School Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
After the competition season
Rosin, talc, adhesive tape residue from floor markings and rings of perspiration across the whole surface.
Before examinations, performances and photography
Studio, mirrors and cloakroom brought to a condition that holds up in pictures as well.
A new letting of the studio to outside groups
Interim cleaning with a record, so that the condition between two users is established.
After floor markings have been taped down
Adhesive residue has to come off without trace before warmth settles it into the wear layer.
The start of term with new class groups
Changing rooms, showers and barefoot areas done through once in full, then continued as regular cleaning.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Dance School Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
On a dance floor, shine and grip are opponents
Mop-on polish and polymer dispersions build up a film that reflects light and lowers the slip resistance: for jump landings and standard ballroom work that is an injury risk, not a maintenance success. Conversely, dosing that is too high leaves a surfactant film behind that is tacky, slows turns, and with a little moisture suddenly lets a foot slide away. What is right is short, neutral dosing with a clean-water pass — the surface should be matt, dry and free of residue, not glossy.
Vinyl dance flooring reacts to solvents and to alkali
The wear layer contains plasticisers; products containing alcohol or solvents draw them out, the covering becomes brittle, chalks at the surface and the edges of the rolls shrink. Strongly alkaline cleaners dull the wear layer unevenly, and steam cleaners put a load on the welded seam and the adhesive joint beneath the covering. On a dance floor, therefore, the manufacturer's data sheet takes precedence over any cleaning catalogue, and rosin is taken off with an approved agent, not with acetone or methylated spirits.
A sprung floor forgives no standing water
Beneath the wear layer lie spring elements and a timber substructure, and the weak points are the skirting junction, the seam and the perimeter joint: mop water runs in there, the timber takes it up, swells and loses its spring — audible as a surface that goes hard in places. Parquet moves as well: too much moisture lifts the edges and opens the joints, and on oiled floors light patches additionally appear where the oil is washed out. We therefore work with minimal moisture and a dry pass, rather than drawing a trail of water with a scrubber dryer.

●. Frequently asked questions about Dance School Cleaning
What does Dance School Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
