02. What Shop Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Graz at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
The shopfront, the canopy and the outside zone
The roller shutter or grille, the door reveal, the shopfront plinth, A-boards, the underside of the canopy and the strip of pavement in front of the shop. Chewing gum, cigarette ends and sticker residue collect precisely where the customer stops.
The air conditioning unit, the air curtain and high-level edges
The indoor unit, the intake grille, the filter, the condensate tray and the air curtain above the door, plus the upper edges of shelving ends, pipes and sprinkler lines. Whatever lies up there falls onto the stock below every time the door slams.
Shop windows and glass fronts
Both sides, plus the frames, the floor track and the handle area of the all-glass door. On large panes we work with a guided squeegee stroke, because only that gives an even drying off.
The entrance and the barrier matting zone
Most of the dirt comes in over the first few metres behind the door. The coarse grating, the clamping profile and the textile mat are vacuumed and lifted, and the tray beneath them wiped out.
The sales floor according to the type of covering
Polished porcelain stoneware, limestone, terrazzo and oiled boards each get their own dosing and their own pad. Work is done in lanes with drying afterwards, so that no damp area is left before opening.
Merchandising fixtures, plinths and mirrors
Shelves, glass shelving, clothes rails, display plinths, fitting mirrors and fitting rooms. Dust is taken off upper edges and not wiped down onto the stock.
The shops in the centre of Graz lie within the old-town conservation area: shopfronts, illuminated signs and nameplates require consent there, and on historic building fabric work is only done by agreed methods. Many shops sit in arcades and courtyards with paved approaches, over which grit and dust come straight into the barrier matting zone. The basin location with its inversion weather lays a grey haze over shop windows and light-coloured floors in winter, which is why the glass intervals are closer here than in the other cities.
03. Shop Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A shop has a very short window: cleaning is done before opening or after cashing up, and anything not dry by nine o'clock stands on the sales floor as a slipping hazard. On top of that, almost every surface in a shop is sensitive — polished porcelain stoneware, limestone, high-gloss fronts, coated glass, brass — and a universal product leaves marks there that show up immediately in the raking light from the spots. We record the coverings and surfaces at the inspection, settle the agent and the pad for each surface, and send people who know that same shop. Access, key arrangements and the alarm connection are settled beforehand and not on the first evening of work. In Graz, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Shop Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9The stock is not handled
What may be moved on a fixture is settled with the staff beforehand; we do not rearrange anything ourselves and do not redo displays.
10Daytime cleaning where night access is not possible
In pedestrian zones and shopping centres with fixed opening hours we work in short rounds with quiet equipment while the shop is open.
07. Shop Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Shop Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
Before handing over to the incoming tenant
The shop goes back in the condition the lease names — with a record and photographs.
Stocktaking
The shelves are empty once a year — the only date on which shelves, back panels, floor areas under the fixtures and skirting zones are fully reachable.
A change of season in the window display
After it is taken down, film adhesive is left on the glass, tape residue on the floor, decorative sand in the crevices and drilling dust from new brackets.
After water escapes from the air conditioning or a sprinkler
Limescale rims on glass and metal, damp under plinths and in the carpet, and the question of which areas will be dry again before opening.
After a break-in or broken glass
Splinters in joints, carpet and fixtures, spray paint on the shopfront, drilling dust after the emergency glazing — with a photographic record for the insurer.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Shop Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Stainless steel rusts where chlorine gets onto it
The passive layer of stainless steel is sensitive to chlorides: chlorine-based cleaners, road salt from the entrance and dried hand sanitiser as well leave pitting corrosion that cannot be cleaned away, because material is missing. On top of that comes foreign rust — iron particles from steel wool, drilling dust or winter air settle on the surface and go on rusting there, even though the stainless steel itself is sound. On stainless steel we work chloride-free, with the grain and with cloths that have not previously been on cast iron or drilling dust.
Chewing gum and label adhesive are two different problems
Chewing gum is a thermoplastic mass: it is made brittle with cold and lifted off, whereas heat and solvent smear it and draw it into porous material. Self-adhesive labels leave an acrylate adhesive that needs citrus terpenes or alcohol, and time rather than pressure — on acrylic, polycarbonate and coated surfaces those very solvents can produce stress cracking or matt patches. That is why with every adhesive found we first check the substrate, start in a concealed spot, and say beforehand where a shadow is going to remain.
Polished porcelain stoneware is not sealed
Polishing grinds into the surface and creates micropores that take up mopping water along with surfactant residue. The grey haze that is complained about most often in shops is usually exactly that residue and not dirt: the causes are overdosing, the missing pass with clear water, and film-forming maintenance products that have no business on this covering. It can be put right with an acidic deep clean, and avoided with sparing dosing and a second pass with clear water.
Reviews from clients in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — grown since 2014, not bought. The figure is taken from the Google profile daily.

●. Frequently asked questions about Shop Cleaning in Graz
What does Shop Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
