02. What Logistics Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Chilled and frozen areas
At sub-zero temperatures the work is done without free water, using agents suitable for cold conditions, mop covers in small quantities and dry ice or steam only once released. Evaporators, door airlocks, strip curtains and floor joints are the points where frost and ice form first.
Hazardous goods store and sumps
Rack sumps, collection trays, shelf panels and grating are emptied, cleaned and checked visually for integrity, with leaks documented rather than wiped away. Bound material goes separately into labelled containers, and the disposal route is settled beforehand.
Battery charging zone and forklift care
In the charging zone, acid mist and salt efflorescence settle on the floor, the racking and the chargers, and attack metal if treated with the wrong acid or alkali. Added to that are forklift cabs, seats, hand scanners, picking trolleys and the grab surfaces every shift touches.
Yard areas, manoeuvring area and drainage
Outside, what counts is the manoeuvring area, the parking bays, channels, silt traps and the oil separator, and in winter also the grit that comes in through the doors and acts as an abrasive inside the building. A full silt trap dams water up at the loading bay, so the fill level is checked and reported.
Traffic routes and forklift marks
Black streaks on warehouse floors are thermally deposited tyre abrasion from solid and cushion tyres, not a film of dirt — they need mechanical action from a cylindrical brush or pad plus a mildly alkaline solution. The work is done with a scrubber dryer, because the water has to be picked up again on the same pass.
Rack uprights, beams and high-level surfaces
Dust on beams, pipework and continuous light fittings drops onto the goods at every knock. It is vacuumed with class M filtration, never blown off, and the aisles are closed off section by section rather than all at once.
Salzburg warehouse sites in Liefering, Bergheim and around the station area often lie close to residential development, so noise and night limits govern the sequence more than the plant technology does. The high rainfall and the winter grit come in over ramps and through doors: warehouse floors become slippery more quickly as a result, and the grit acts like sandpaper on the coating under forklift traffic. The transit location means round-the-clock handling, so short windows rather than night shifts.
03. Logistics Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
In logistics, cleaning is a safety matter and a matter of protecting the goods, and it almost always takes place during operations. The expensive mistake is not the wrong cleaner but an area left standing wet in forklift traffic, or an aisle closed off without a word to the shift. We therefore work in zones and shift windows rather than in total square metres, pick the water up again on the same pass and keep to the dosing so that the floor retains its slip resistance. We give the cost framework after the inspection, because the floor construction, the rack height and the operating hours determine the effort involved. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Logistics Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Our own machinery rather than hired equipment
Ride-on and pedestrian machines with cylindrical and disc units are held in house, along with class M industrial vacuums. That makes the night appointment plannable, instead of hanging on a hire machine.
10A briefed permanent team for warehouse operations
Every member of staff is employed by us, properly registered and briefed on forklift traffic, escape routes and restricted areas. In a warehouse the list of personnel is part of the safety organisation, which is why we work without subcontractors.
07. Logistics Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Logistics Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
Defrosting or shutdown in a frozen store
The only point at which the floor, evaporators and ceiling area are accessible without a layer of ice. The window is short and is worked with more people rather than more time.
After packaging failure or spilled goods
Broken glass, cleaning product, oil or foodstuffs on a pallet spread through the whole building on forklift tyres. What matters here is that the area is contained immediately and the spread is stopped.
Before stocktaking
Aisles clear, beams and labels free of dust, floor markings legible again — a count in a dusty warehouse takes longer than the cleaning beforehand.
Around the annual rack inspection
Inspection of the storage equipment to EN 15635 needs a clear view of uprights, impact protection and anchoring. Nobody finds deformation under a layer of dust.
Handing a building back or a change of tenant
Before handover, what counts is the appearance of the floor, rack imprints, adhesive residues from floor markings and the loading bay. The condition is recorded with a date and photographs.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Logistics Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
Oil stains on granolithic concrete are not a mopping matter
Unsealed granolithic screed is capillary-open, and hydraulic and gear oil penetrate several millimetres within hours. Mopping only takes off what sits on top; the rest migrates back to the surface in warm conditions and the stain is there again days later. The correct approach is a poultice of oil binder with a dwell time of several hours, repeated if need be. On coated floors the opposite applies: there the oil stays on the surface and has to come off quickly, before it runs under an edge of the coating.
In a food warehouse the cleaning plan is an audit document
Anyone storing for retail, hospitality or production is measured against a written cleaning and disinfection plan: which area, with which agent, at which concentration, at which interval, by whom, with which record. Part of that is separating food and non-food zones in both materials and sequence, so that nothing is carried across on a mop cover or a vacuum. A second point, frequently raised, is crevices, skirting boards and rack feet: product dust collects there, and that is exactly where the pest monitoring registers. Our team is HACCP-trained and works to the plan of the business, not by feel.
In a frozen store, every litre of water is a problem
At minus twenty degrees, mop water freezes on the floor into a slippery surface before it has been picked up, and moist air settles as frost on evaporators, the ceiling area and the door airlock. Frost on the evaporator fins acts as an insulating layer: refrigeration output falls, the plant runs longer and the defrost cycles come more often. Work is therefore done with frost-safe agents in the smallest quantities, with pick-up in the same movement and in intervals, because cold limits both grip strength and attention. Dry ice and steam processes are effective but need a release, ventilation and distance from open goods.

●. Frequently asked questions about Logistics Cleaning in Salzburg
What does Logistics Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
