02. What Laundrette Cleaning at Bling Bling covers

The scope of work in Salzburg at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.

Dosing station and the chemical standing area

Around drums, dosing pumps and bunds sit dried-on crusts of detergent. Those are strongly alkaline, only dissolve with dwell time and attack aluminium and cement joints, which is why the area is neutralised and dried after they are taken off.

The area around the water softener

Salt container, pump tray, connection area and the floor underneath: damp salt crusts draw water and travel on shoes into the customer area. We take them up and report leaks; the plant itself remains with the service engineer.

Shop window, door glass and lettering

The inner faces of the glazing carry a film of lint and moisture that merely smears if wiped dry. It is taken off wet and squeegeed; applied vinyl lettering and opening-hours stickers are worked around rather than wiped over.

Waiting and seating area

Bench, shelves, the drinks and snack machine, the waste bin including the inner container and the customer WC all belong to the round. Chewing gum and adhesive spots on the floor are taken off with freeze spray and a scraper, not with solvent on the covering.

Lint where it actually lies

Behind and underneath the row of machines, in plinth panels, ventilation grilles and the gaps between the dryers it is taken up with a vacuum rather than swept. Swept lint goes into the room air and settles again an hour later.

Exhaust routes and grilles

Vented dryers draw fibre debris into grilles and connection spigots; a blocked grille lengthens the drying time and drives the temperature inside the appliance up. We clean the part accessible from outside; for the duct and the appliance itself the operator's service engineer comes.

Salzburg launderettes and hotel laundries run right through the summer and the festival season, which leaves deep cleaning almost only for the shoulder season. In the old town the rooms lie in tight buildings with no vehicle access: materials are carried, large machines are out of the question, and the laundry logistics block the only passage. The high outside humidity lengthens drying times and sharpens condensation in internal rooms — which is why seals and drawers are left open and dry after every visit.

03. Laundrette Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition

A launderette is usually run unattended and has two risks, neither of which lies on the visible floor: lint as a readily ignitable fire load in concealed places, and permanently humid room air from the wash cycle and the vented dryers. A cheap round mops precisely the area you can see from the door and leaves both of those subjects where they are, because they take time and equipment. We work to a plan for the concealed zones, take up lint dry before water comes into play, and report with a photograph after every visit what has happened in the room. What it costs is settled after the inspection, because the number of machines, the opening hours and the access behind the appliances are what make the effort. In Salzburg, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Laundrette Cleaning from Bling Bling

What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.

1In business since 2014

A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.

2Registered core team

Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.

3The same people every time

The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.

4€3m public liability

Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.

5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP

Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.

6Multilingual

German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.

7No price without a site visit

A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.

8Dated proof

Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.

9A round outside the busy hours

Self-service launderettes run in the evening and at weekends. We place the visit so that no machine is blocked, and send the same permanently employed staff — after the second time they know behind which appliance the most collects.

10The launderette and the building's laundry room on one contract

Managing agents and hotels have both: the public launderette and the laundry room in the cellar that belongs to nobody. Both run on one schedule with their own interval, with a record for each visit and remedial work within 48 hours.

08. Laundrette Cleaning for 5 typical situations

The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.

Before a service or inspection appointment on an appliance

The engineer can only get to connections, plinths and rear faces if there is nothing lying there. We clear the access and hand the area over, so that the working time does not go on moving things out of the way.

Handover to a new operator or franchise partner

Before reopening under a new name it is the visible surfaces that count: glass, machine fronts, floor and the appearance of the joints. The condition is photographed before and after, so that the handover is documented.

Before an inspection by the insurer or an authority

The questions are about the concealed places: behind the dryers, in the grilles, at the plinth panels. We establish the condition and record it photographically.

When the laundry smells musty

The smell usually does not come from the machines but from the room air, the seals and moisture on cold building elements. We take the deposit off and show where the cause sits.

Water standing on the floor

The floor gully, strainer and pump connection are blocked with fibres and soap residue. Open, flush, clear the channel — and report it if the cause lies in the plumbing.

★ Worth knowing

What is often misjudged about Laundrette Cleaning

Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.

The slippery film on the floor is lime soap, not residual dirt

Overdosed detergent and fabric softener react with the lime in mains water to form poorly soluble lime soaps. Those settle as a smooth, matt film on porcelain stoneware, plinths and machine fronts and cannot be lifted with a neutral cleaner: it takes an acidic product with dwell time and a neutral wipe afterwards, otherwise the acid residue goes on working in the cement joint and erodes it to sand. If there is natural stone in the entrance, no acid is used there, but a method approved for that stone.

Fabric softener leaves a film that soap will not take off

Fabric softener works through cationic surfactants, which deposit themselves on every surface — including the floor, plinths and machine fronts, which they reach as vapour and splashes. That film is water-repellent, binds fibres and goes smooth when damp. Clean it with an ordinary anionic cleaner and the two types of surfactant cancel each other out, leaving a greasy remainder: it takes an alkaline, grease-dissolving product with dwell time and a clear wipe afterwards. So a surface that still has a dull sheen after four rounds is not a case for more pressure but for the right product.

With a dryer it is the air path that decides, not the lint filter

A vented dryer draws large volumes of air out of the room. If the room is tight and the make-up air too small, negative pressure builds, the drying time rises and the appliance runs hot even though the filter is clean. Heat-pump dryers also have a second filter stage and a condenser with narrow fins: if those clog with fibre fluff, laundry stays damp, biofilm forms in the condensate tray and the room smells sweetish. We clean the filter stages, trays and drainage routes accessible from outside and report where make-up air openings are obstructed or taped over — the appliance technology itself goes to the service engineer.

●. Frequently asked questions about Laundrette Cleaning in Salzburg

What does Laundrette Cleaning cost?

There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.

Is the site visit really free?

Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.

Does the same person come every time?

Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.

Is your staff properly registered?

All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.

What insurance is in place?

Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.

What happens if something is not right?

It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.

Can you work outside business hours?

Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.

Do I have to provide materials or a room?

Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.

What notice period applies?

The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.

Do you also work in English?

Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.

Which documents do I get?

A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.

How quickly can you start?

Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
