02. What Kindergarten Cleaning at Bling Bling covers

The scope of work in Vienna at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.

Kitchen

Suitable for food, close to HACCP

Sanitary areas at child height

Toddler WCs, partitions, wash troughs, taps, soap and towel dispensers within reach, and potties and their storage are worked with a disinfectant. The real contact surfaces are low down here: the bottom edges of doors, the wall areas beside the WC, step stools.

Movement room and sports floor

The sports floor, mats, wall bars, benches and the equipment store are worked with very little water and without a care film. Sports floors have a defined slip behaviour to EN 14904 — wax or a care product shifts it and makes the floor either slippery or grabby.

Servery kitchen and dining area

Food trolleys, trays, the serving surface, the refrigerator inside and out, the sink and the dining tables are worked with separate, colour-coded materials. Kitchen materials stay in the kitchen, because carry-over from the sanitary area is the biggest risk here.

Outdoor area, sandpit and play equipment

The terrace, play equipment, impact-absorbing surfaces, the rim of the sandpit and the entrance gratings are worked, with the gratings lifted out and the material underneath picked up. Sand is the most significant source of dirt brought into the building and at the same time an abrasive for every internal floor covering.

Craft, workshop and creative area

Paint residue, glue, modelling clay, wax and glitter are taken off tables, chairs, floors and carpet tiles, and materials trolleys and paint shelves are cleaned on the outside. Dried-on glue and paint residue is dissolved with a contact time and not scraped off, so that the table surface does not tear open.

Settings in Vienna are frequently on several floors and occupy Gründerzeit or newer buildings, often with the stairwell as the route between groups and with courtyards rather than gardens. Long opening hours into the late afternoon push the cleaning into the evening, with the movement room and the corridor becoming free first and therefore worked first. In residential buildings noise in the evening is an issue, so machines run early in the morning or not at all. Disposal follows the city's collection days, which for nappy waste determines the number of bins and the cycle in the bin store.

03. Kindergarten Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition

Nursery cleaning is offered by several providers in Vienna. What is different at Bling Bling Premium Reinigung: a fixed, trained team without subcontractors, the hygiene standard of the city's MA 11, agents that are safe for children, a deep clean in the holidays, €3m public liability, and the firm that tenders is the firm that carries out the work. A family firm since 2014 and a member of the chamber of commerce. In Vienna, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Kindergarten Cleaning from Bling Bling

What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.

1In business since 2014

A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.

2Registered core team

Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.

3The same people every time

The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.

4€3m public liability

Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.

5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP

Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.

6Multilingual

German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.

7No price without a site visit

A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.

8Dated proof

Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.

9No residues within a child's reach

On surfaces that children touch with their hands and mouths, we work over with water once the contact time has elapsed, so that no residue of the agent is left.

10The same staff, outside care hours

Fixed, trained staff work in the building at times when no children are present — no changing outside personnel in rooms where children are being looked after.

08. Kindergarten Cleaning for 5 typical situations

The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.

Before the groups start in the autumn

After the summer closure the deep clean is due: floors without old care films, high-level surfaces, radiator fins, curtains, toys out of the boxes, the sandpit made ready. After that the year begins from a defined condition and not from where things stood in July.

After building work or a change of furniture

New furniture, a new floor or a refurbishment in the building leave drilling dust and fine dust behind, including in rooms where no work was done. Before the rooms are used again, work runs from top to bottom, with high-level surfaces, reveals and ventilation outlets.

A move into temporary premises

During conversion work the setting often moves into containers or substitute rooms. Both sides need a round: the temporary premises before moving in, the building before the return — with wet rooms, the kitchen and floors at the centre.

Schools

Primary school through to technical college — see school cleaning.

Nurseries and day care

Group rooms, play corners — see nursery cleaning.

★ Worth knowing

What is often misjudged about Kindergarten Cleaning

Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.

Disinfection targeted, not across the board

In a nursery, cleaning is the rule and disinfection the exception — but applied consistently in the right places: the changing mat and the area around it after every change, sanitary areas after use, toys after mouth contact, contact surfaces when illness is going round. Blanket disinfection in the group room, by contrast, brings no benefit and leaves residues on precisely those surfaces the children reach with mouths and hands; that is why, once the contact time has elapsed, we work over with water wherever children get to. The spectrum of action matters as well: the typical nursery infections — hand, foot and mouth, noro, rota — go back to non-enveloped viruses, and alcohol-based rapid disinfectants are not sufficiently effective against those. There it takes an agent listed as virucidal with the full contact time, and a toy that cannot be wiped goes into the laundry or the dishwasher rather than into a spray mist.

Sand is an abrasive and it determines how long the floor lasts

The sand from the sandpit and the outdoor area is quartz-bearing and angular. Under the soles of shoes it acts like fine abrasive paper: linoleum, PVC, design coverings and parquet pick up micro-scratches, the surface goes dull, and dull surfaces take up dirt more readily than smooth ones — the floor looks dirtier even though the work is done just as often. Past a certain point the only remedy is a deep clean with re-dressing, which costs a multiple of a regular clean. That is why the most effective measure is not more mopping but catching the sand at the door: a barrier matting zone of sufficient length, entrance gratings that are lifted out regularly and cleaned underneath, and in the entrance area always vacuuming first and working damp afterwards. Mopping wet over loose sand is the quickest route to a dull floor.

Linoleum and a sports floor need opposite care

Linoleum is widespread in childcare settings because it is robust and made from renewable raw materials. Its surface is oxidised and sensitive to strongly alkaline agents and to standing water: above a pH of about 10 the surface is attacked, and moisture at the seams makes the covering swell and the joints stand up. Work is therefore done barely damp with a neutral to mildly alkaline agent, and the wear layer is dressed with a polymer dispersion rather than being polished bare. In the movement room the opposite applies: the sports floor has a tested slip behaviour to EN 14904, and every care film shifts it. A waxed gym floor is not well cared for, it is a falling hazard. That is why one regime of care never runs across all the rooms in a building, but a plan for each covering — and we set down with it which room gets which formulation.

●. Frequently asked questions about Kindergarten Cleaning in Vienna

What does Kindergarten Cleaning cost?

There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.

Is the site visit really free?

Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.

Does the same person come every time?

Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.

Is your staff properly registered?

All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.

What insurance is in place?

Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.

What happens if something is not right?

It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.

Can you work outside business hours?

Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.

Do I have to provide materials or a room?

Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.

What notice period applies?

The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.

Do you also work in English?

Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.

Which documents do I get?

A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.

How quickly can you start?

Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
