02. What Dental Lab Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Graz at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Glass, light fittings and lighting conditions
The inner faces of windows, partition glazing, luminaire diffusers and reflectors build up a film of milling and blasting dust that noticeably lowers the light level at the workstation. Because shade taking and layering work depend on the light, these surfaces appear in the plan with a frequency of their own.
Waste containers and their standing areas
Containers for plaster residues, metal debris, blasting media, wax and abrasive bodies are worked inside and out, and the standing area beneath them with them. The separation stays as the laboratory prescribes it — nothing is tipped together, not even what is left in the vacuum.
Plaster dust dry first
Plaster, milling and grinding dust is taken up with a vacuum of the appropriate dust class and a fine filter before water comes anywhere near. Working wet on dry plaster dust sets it off and leaves a hard crust on the floor, the plinths and in the drain.
Workstations, edges and high level
Worktops, panels, shelf edges, extraction funnels from outside, magnifier lamps and pipe and cable runs carry the dust that does not show from below. The work goes from the top down, so that no square metre is dealt with twice.
Blasting and finishing area
Around the blasting cabinet, the cutting motor and the polishing motor lie blasting medium, metal debris and polishing paste. Metal dust is taken up separately and not mixed with combustible residues; polishing paste needs a grease-dissolving product and dwell time, not more pressure.
Wax and resin residues
Modelling wax soaks into PVC and linoleum as soon as it gets warm, and does not dissolve in water: it is taken off mechanically and then worked with a wax solvent the covering will take. Monomer and resin residues are treated only on the laboratory's release, because solvents soften surfaces.
In Graz many laboratories are located around the dental clinic and training businesses, with more stations per property and correspondingly more sources of dust. Because milling and firing rooms are often ventilated through the window, the winter inversion hits twice: fine particulate from outside is added to the laboratory's own dust, and the inner faces of windows and luminaire diffusers block up faster, which impairs shade taking in daylight. Laboratories in commercial units on the edge of the city have their own delivery times, which the round follows.
03. Dental Lab Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A dental laboratory is not an office with a workbench: the main soiling is fine, abrasive dry dust from plaster, zirconia, alloys and blasting media, along with wax, monomers and hazardous substances in very small containers — and on the benches lie one-off pieces with a delivery date that nobody may move. Anyone who sweeps here and then mops wet distributes the dust into the room air and turns plaster dust into a crust that can only be released mechanically. We take up the types of dust separately and dry with filter vacuums, work station by station to a written release list, and place the round in the off-peak hours so that the fine dust has time to settle. We give the cost framework after the inspection, because the machinery, the extraction arrangement and the volume of dust determine the effort. In Graz, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Dental Lab Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Separate machines stay in the laboratory
For plaster, ceramic and metal dust there are separate vacuums with their own filters kept on the premises and not exchanged between clients — so nothing mixes and no foreign debris comes into the laboratory.
10Visits according to the laboratory's schedule
Before collection days we do not work at the stations affected but at others; the round runs in stages along your delivery plan.
07. Dental Lab Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Dental Lab Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
Before an audit or a customer visit
When dentists come to look round the laboratory, the condition of the workstations is assessed along with everything else. A round beforehand including high level, glass surfaces and goods-in.
After a filter failure on the extraction
When a bag or filter opens up, fine dust lies throughout the room and on every high-level surface. The work goes from the top down in two passes, because the airborne fraction only settles after hours.
Changing from dry to wet milling
Dust becomes sludge: different surfaces, different products, a different interval. The method is rewritten, or the sludge is carried through the laboratory and dries as a grey film.
Relocating or converting the laboratory
Once the benches and machines are out, the old plaster in skirting coves, cable trunking and under the extraction connections is reachable for the first time. That round is what makes the new layout worthwhile.
After stocktaking in the model archive
When the shelves are cleared for the review, several years of dust lie underneath. That is taken up dry while the shelves are clear.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Dental Lab Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
At the mixing station no cleaner may leave a residue
Silicone oil, a maintenance additive or a surfactant film on a worktop or mixing surface cannot be seen with the eye and still has an effect: they change the wetting, interfere with adhesion and can influence setting. With addition-cured silicones there is an effect of its own on top of that — sulfur compounds and latex inhibit cross-linking, which is why even the wrong glove or a residue from a spray bottle leaves a place uncured. That is why at mixing, layering and modelling stations we work exclusively with products that dry off without residue, wipe over with clear water, and use no cloths there that have previously been in the polishing area.
Chair castors and mobile units grind the floor open
Metal and ceramic debris lodges in the castors of work chairs and mobile units — a material harder than any wear layer on PVC or linoleum. The castor thereby becomes a grinding wheel and matts the covering in a track around every workstation; at some point the surface looks permanently grey even when it has been mopped, because the light refracts in the micro-scratches. Cleaning alone will not bring that back. That is why with us the castors, axles and the undersides of mobile units belong in the rota, and we recommend soft twin castors for hard coverings — that is the cheapest floor protection a laboratory can have.
Water on plaster dust turns dirt into stone
Dental plaster is calcium sulfate hemihydrate: with water it forms the dihydrate again and hardens — which is exactly what happens when a damp mop meets dry plaster dust. On the floor a thin, stone-hard layer forms that can only be taken off mechanically, in skirting coves and joints it stays put, and in the drain a plug grows that no cleaner will dissolve. That is why in a laboratory the dry vacuum always comes first and mopping only afterwards, and at the plaster sink the separator counts for more than the sink.

●. Frequently asked questions about Dental Lab Cleaning in Graz
What does Dental Lab Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
