02. What Cinema Cleaning at Bling Bling covers
The scope of work in Linz at a glance — what the contract says and what actually happens on site.
Foyer, box office, bar and popcorn area
Display cases, counters, dispensers, the popcorn machine from outside, floors with a grease film. Here it is the frequency that decides, because the grease film is carried onward.
Sanitary facilities in step with the performances
Check rounds during the interval and after each block rather than once in the evening: refill, keep the floor dry, change the bins.
Deep cleaning of auditoria on a cycle, technical equipment only with clearance
Auditorium by auditorium within the programme: floor in depth, seating, wall surfaces, luminaires. Perforated screens and projection ports are not cleaned but only treated without contact to the house's own instructions, or excluded.
3D glasses and loan equipment
Cleaned after every return and disinfected with a listed agent, the lenses without alcohol and without paper tissue, temples and nose bridge individually, dried completely and stored closed. The return container is included.
Catering equipment behind the counter
The popcorn machine outside and inside once cooled, the grease filter of the hood, the nacho unit, the slush and dispense system on the outside, the ice maker, drip trays and the floor gully behind the counter.
Acoustic fabric, ceiling rafts and auditorium walls
Textile wall coverings dry only, with low suction and a nozzle held off the surface, molton and curtain surfaces from top to bottom, splash marks locally. No wet method on fabric-covered absorbers.
Houses in Linz lie predominantly beside shopping and leisure centres, with a strong festival and special screening business. Commuter traffic makes the early evening blocks the strongest, and the turnaround clean is timed most tightly there. The city's fine industrial dust comes in through the foyer, the doors and the ventilation and shows on dark seat coverings, glass display cases and light boxes more clearly than in other cities, which is why glass and display cases are dealt with more often there.
03. Cinema Cleaning: Bling Bling vs. the competition
A cinema has no cleaning window, it has minutes: between the closing credits and admission there stands an auditorium with steps, rows, cup holders and spilt drinks, and the next auditorium starts at the same time. On top of that come two things that occur in this form only here — popcorn fat, which lays itself as a thin film over floors, backs and holders and in time smells rancid, and photoluminescent markings on steps and escape routes, which tolerate no coating. We therefore staff the turnaround clean according to the performance grid and the auditorium plan and keep the deep cleaning of the auditoria separate from it as a cycle of its own. The cost framework we give after the inspection with the management. In Linz, Bling Bling works with the same core team that knows the building.

06. 10 reasons for Cinema Cleaning from Bling Bling
What a cleaning company has to be measured against — and which of it can be verified.
1In business since 2014
A family firm, not a franchise and not a broker — whoever quotes also carries out the work.
2Registered core team
Permanently employed and properly registered. No chain of subcontractors where nobody is liable at the end.
3The same people every time
The team knows the building, the access and the routines. Cover is arranged and named in advance.
4€3m public liability
Personal injury, property and financial loss covered; the certificate is attached to the quotation.
5RKI/VAH-listed agents, HACCP
Listed agents, trained staff, a cleaning and disinfection plan for each building.
6Multilingual
German, English and five further languages — the briefing gets through.
7No price without a site visit
A flat price over the phone rarely holds. After the visit the framework is set out in writing. A monthly flat rate applies to weekly recurring cleaning; one-off and deep cleans by effort - hourly, per square metre or flat - travel included.
8Dated proof
Record of each visit and photo documentation, reported monthly.
9Degreasing behind the counter at a fixed interval
The hood, the grease filter, the grease trap and the floor gully run on a cycle with a date, so that the smell in the foyer does not come out of the extract air.
10A team for the evening and night shift
The last performance ends late, and the deep clean begins after it. We staff that from our permanently employed core team and not through short-notice casuals who are different people at the next appointment.
07. Cinema Cleaning in 4 more cities
Bling Bling works in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Klosterneuburg — with its own staff on site, not with subcontractors hired in.
08. Cinema Cleaning for 5 typical situations
The same service looks different depending on the occasion — these five situations come up most often.
There is a smell in the auditorium and the seats feel sticky
Both are signs of fat and sugar residue in the textile, and that belongs in a seating clean with pre-treatment, not in the evening round.
After school performances and children's parties
More spillage, more popcorn between the tip-up seats, more on the steps. An additional round on the same day is cheaper than the follow-up work.
Before reopening after a closed period
Auditorium, foyer, sanitary areas and ventilation grilles in one go, so that the first evening does not run as a test.
After conversion work or a change of seating
Drilling dust, packaging residue, film adhesive on the floor and the seat backs. Taken off fresh, that is cleaning; later it becomes work on the material.
A 3D release with high occupancy
Glasses come back in large quantities and have to pass through cleaning, disinfection with a contact time and drying before the next performance admits. That is staffed separately.
★ Worth knowing
What is often misjudged about Cinema Cleaning
Said up front, on the facts — not after the invoice.
3D glasses are loan optics, not crockery
The lenses are polarising filters of plastic with a thin coating. Alcohol, glass cleaner, water hotter than the manufacturer states and paper tissues make them dull, streaky and finely scratched — and from that point on the guest sees double images instead of depth, without knowing why. Work is done with a mild, neutral agent, a soft cloth and complete drying before the glasses go back into circulation; glasses put away damp develop marks and a smell. Because the temples rest on the skin and the frame on the bridge of the nose, surface disinfection with a listed agent and the full contact time is part of it — not a quick wipe between two performances. Returned glasses and glasses ready for issue are stored separately.
Textile acoustic fabric is an absorber, not a curtain
The fabric in the auditorium sits in front of mineral wool or foam absorbers and works only for as long as the weave stays permeable to air. Moisture, cleaners and pressure stick the fibres together and draw rings; the absorber behind loses its effect, and that can be heard as a longer reverberation time and poorer speech intelligibility in the auditorium. On top of that, molton and covering fabrics in an auditorium are tested for their fire behaviour, and some treatments are applied on the surface and water-soluble — after a wet wash the certificate no longer covers the material. That is why work is done dry, with low suction and a nozzle held off the surface, stains locally, and damaged lengths go to the outfitter rather than into cleaning.
Artificial leather needs the opposite rule to a textile seat
What looks like leather in an auditorium is frequently a fabric coated with PVC or polyurethane. Alcohol, solvents and alkaline degreasers draw the plasticisers out of the PVC layer: the surface goes hard, shines unevenly and cracks at the seam and the front edge — and the damage only shows months after the wrong treatment. Genuine, pigmented leather tolerates a mild, pH-neutral cleaning and needs re-fatting at intervals. The most frequent discolourations come neither from popcorn nor from drinks but from hand cream, sun oil and denim dye: denim blue that has migrated onto a light-coloured covering is not a stain that comes out. That is why the type of covering is recorded before an agent is chosen.

●. Frequently asked questions about Cinema Cleaning in Linz
What does Cinema Cleaning cost?
There is no price before the site visit, and a figure given over the phone rarely holds. We look at surfaces, access and time windows, and then the cost framework is set out in writing with a schedule of services. What changes the price: the area, the frequency, the condition at handover and the time of day the work is done. Two rules apply everywhere: a monthly flat rate is only offered for recurring cleaning at least once a week, including stairwells. One-off jobs, first cleans and deep cleans are billed by effort - depending on the service by the hour at a higher rate, by square metre or as a flat price - and travel time there and back counts.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes, free of charge and without obligation. It is the only way to quote seriously, so we treat it as part of the offer, not as a service to be paid for.
Does the same person come every time?
Yes. The team is permanently employed and knows the building, the access arrangements and the routines. Cover is arranged in advance and named, and it works from the building log, not from a verbal handover.
Is your staff properly registered?
All of them, with social insurance. No chain of subcontractors in which nobody is liable at the end. Proof is provided on request.
What insurance is in place?
Public liability of €3m, covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The certificate is attached to the quotation.
What happens if something is not right?
It is put right within 48 hours, in writing, at no extra cost. Measured against the schedule of services and a joint inspection, not against an impression.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes — early, late, at weekends or on public holidays. In occupied buildings, daytime cleaning in sections is often the better option, because the client sees the work and can raise anything immediately.
Do I have to provide materials or a room?
Materials and equipment we bring. What helps is a lockable store with a slop sink, space for the trolley and somewhere for pads to dry — damp pads in a closed bag are the most common source of smell in an otherwise clean building.
What notice period applies?
The contract is terminable monthly. There is no minimum term and no automatic extension by the year.
Do you also work in English?
Yes — German, English and five further languages. The briefing gets through, which matters more on site than it sounds.
Which documents do I get?
A schedule of services with frequencies, a dated record of each visit, photo documentation before and after, and a monthly report.
How quickly can you start?
Usually within a few working days of the quotation being accepted. Short-notice jobs are most readily possible in Vienna, because travel times within a district are short.
