Linoleum and PVC look the same and want the opposite
Linoleum is a natural product based on linseed oil: permanently strongly alkaline agents and wet standing in the sheet joints lead to yellowing and swelling. PVC and vinyl design flooring are insensitive to alkalinity but react to solvents and, where rubber feet stand on them, to plasticiser migration with permanent stains.
